I purchased this model based on first copy out time. I needed one that I could put document or I.D. on glass for fast copy this one is fast. The printing from computer is also fast. The cost per copy is also low. Easy setup.

I bought this machine to replace my Pixma 860. It comes close but the scanning feature is poor in comparison. The Pixma 860 scanning software allowed me to scan a document and convert to text. It was the best printer I ever had because of this feature. The 244dw does not.

Just bought my third Canon Image Class and looking forward to hooking it up. Went on your website to view video on product features. Was disappointed it did not actually demonstrate usage of scanner.

I've only had it less than 3 months (shipped 12/16/16) and I've had to call twice to have them troubleshoot it to print. This would be the 3rd but of course I'm working after hours and can't print. I have a similar Canon model at our shop and have only called once in over a year.

The printer quality and capabilities are superb, so far no complaints on that general area. I will say that it was more complex than normal to install on a windows computer. The priter did not populate on the network search with wireless install and no USB cable was included so it was the only way...

This printer has been great. I love the fact that it came with a toner and lasted almost a year. I print a lot of board minutes and checks. This printer is economical plus the cartridge is reasonably priced.

Beware if you are using this machine to scan documents as it scans them crooked if you use the document feeder. If you are just using it to print then it's ok. However, there is serious flaw with this machine that renders it unable to scan or copy documents without the output being crooked.
