This product would be a great investment. The external design is well-constructed to look and feel great in the hands. It is easy to grip and has an ergonomic design. It is also easy to carry around, and shooting with it is a great experience.
Vibrant and realistic images, High capacity battery package, Lightweight and portable body, Great optical image stabilization, Has an excellent advanced zoom
No USB charging, Software is difficult to navigate, Sensitive mic picks up extra noises in the environment
Although it's video quality is very good and has some very unique features, my experience with this camera was ruined with the audio. The "autofocus motor clicking" sound is very loud and can ruin some videos. Otherwise, it isn't terrible, but the clicking is distracting.
Another great Canon product. I also have the Canon HF S20, a much more high-end Canon camcorder, but also substantially bigger.I bought this model as the form factor is small enough to fit comfortably in a cargo pocket (or wife's purse) without the bulk, but the Canon standard for high quality...
I used this camera to record a session of myself playing the piano. I set it to record in highest resolution and save the video in MP4 format. When I played back on my computer, the video is not very smooth, looks a little bit grainy.
I would give camera 5 stars but view finder is worthless when the sun is behind you. Quality of video is excellent.
This is a good quality product that meets my recording needs. Good battery life and picture quality. One thing to note is that the interface is a touch screen. I like that there is a screen cover, and the display reminds you to open the screen cover when it turns on in recording/picture mode.
I bought the Vixia because I was looking for a light weight, easy to use video camera for traveling. I wanted a camera with a external microphone jack and a tripod mount, both of which the Vixia has.Overall, I am happy with this camera.
Took this camera to Europe in the fall of 2017 and was extremely disappointed when it came to burning Blurays or AVCHDs. Unlike its competitors, Canon does not have software to do simple editing and then burning to HD discs.
Great camera For the money. Shopts in great clear quality battery runs about 2.5 hrs has a great zoom and stablization
This camera is GREAT. Lightweight and easy to use.
Really wanted to like this little guy but it was not to be. Although I'm sure it's outstanding for many applications, recording volleyball indoors is not one of them. The max wide angle setting for the zoom is not wide enough to capture the court (ala 24mm for DSLR) and the auto focus preset...
