The 430EX III-RT owner's manual is 108 pages in length and provides a good indication of the breadth of this Speedlite's feature set. It may be a bit dry, but reading the manual in its entirety is a good idea – you can find a link to the manual at the top of this review.

This 430EX III RT flash is for hard-core outdoor fill flash , sports and portrait work. I prefer the smaller and simpler 320EX flash; this larger flash works a little more quickly and has a little more power, which means a little more range in daylight, but I don't want to carry it around my neck...

very strange product from canon.this one has some overheat protection system that prevents the flash from burning out.BUT , i have the 430 ex2 and in the same situations as corporate events, brithdays and so many other situations I've never had a "burned" lamp doing the same I did with the ex3...

Excellent mate for Canon 60D. Relatively light in weight and firmly attaches to the camera's hot shoe. This unit worked seamlessly in automatic mode with the camera and provided exceptional illumination for the photos taken thus far.

I had to update my aging Canon 420EX flash with a new flash that is fully supported by my newer Canon cameras. The 430 EX III supports everything I could possible need (for now).

Very upset I bought this last minute as a back up flash I normally shoot with just a 430ex II I thought this would be better the recycle time is horrible now trying to find a 430exii in stock somewhere. This drained my batteries way to fast...

I love this new 430EX III flash. I previously owned the 430EX, but quickly upgraded to the 580EX to get better rotation of flash head to the left (90 degrees vs. 180), and also for the built-in bounce card. However, the 580EX is a large body, and actually dominates my 6D.

This flash is a great add on to go with my Canon 580.Very pleased with it.

I love this flash, the performance is incredible and the wireless function works perfect.

I am talking about the smaller companion of Canon's on camera flash i.e 430 EX III RT. Now comparing these two flash, the smaller 430 EX III-RT has all the features of 600 EX-II at half the price and somewhat lower the flash output.
