Canon PowerShot Zoom is a very good idea that is very poorly executed.

Mediocre picture quality, lame autofocus and lousy video quality, And fairly hopeless to operate.

100-800mm in your pocket? The Canon PowerShot Zoom is a great photographic gadget, if not a great camera...

Some corner softness; noise in long exposures is above average, Weak flash, Redeye is a big problem, Unimpressive movie mode, Dock required for USB and A/V output, Battery life could be better, Tiny memory card included with camera
I had an SD10 and when it broke, I figured I'd upgrade. The SD30 has more megapixels, but otherwise the image quality is the same. The autofocus speed is significantly slower on the SD30 than the SD10, as is the picture-to-picture flash recharge.
Very happy with this camera .. We had one and it accidentally got washed. This camera is to easy to take with you . Purchase was easy and fast.

Ultra lightweight, but feels well built in terms of materials. Buttons all very solid feel. Very easy to use menu, with common options on main rocker switch. Very fast on/off response. I really like the all in one charging and transfer dock. Software seems easy enough on Win 98SE OS.

More of a dissapointment, the remote in the kit is for working the camera in the dock only. Not for standalone activation of shutter on camera.
this little thing is very well built, starts up very fast, has a very good battery life and it is very good-looking, light and small. Problems: there are few things i am very disappointed with and are pushing me to sell this camera after two weeks: - flash is really low-power and won't lit properly...
Pretty little camera, but for the price, I was expecting higher quality pictures. I bought this about 7 years ago, right before a trip to California. It captured some nice moments, but I will definitely do better research in the future on camera specs.
Excellent small camera. Image quality is in line with what was expected from a Canon. This is a good point and shoot camera with a few extra manual options, no manual focus though or exposure settings. The Macro mode is good.
This is the best camara I have ever owned. The only one thing I can say i wish was better is the red eye, but its an easy fix to make.. The size of it is awesome, so easy to take everywhere I go, many people think its a cell phone its so small...I wish they still made it in this size..
This camera has a very stylish exterior, very easy for the hand to handle, and intuitive UI. Problems: Don't buy this camera, very poor quality images. Outdoor pictures seem ok, but major problems indoor.
I have to say I was not impressed that much with this camera. For one, night shots are horrible. there is so much grain, with no flash, with flash, with lots of light, it just doesn't seem to matter. Also it has a warped lens. It seems on the edges of pictures it warps.
Fun little thing...fits in your pocket, and takes good enough pix that are usable...so you don't miss those moments that only come along once in a while, that really make photography work.
