Canon is of course very experienced in making cameras, and its range of PowerShot travel compact cameras has always proven popular. The Canon PowerShot SX730 HS is a great little pocket friendly camera that is ideal for travelling when the most important thing is the zoom reach, rather than anything...
I use this camera for personal use only and I'm very satisfied with it's performance. It has very good battery life , takes great pictures the only thing is when your fully zoomed in it should be on a tripod. Love the size and everything about it.
I just got this camera for fathers day. i am a 20 year plus canon customer. I have an sx700HS now and thought the extra zoom and flip monitor would be great. The real problem here is , the camera does not autofocus well. I tried numerous shots side by side with my sx700..
Purchased camera on preorder for my wife's birthday. She took her present on a road trip from Denver to jasper. Camera turned on but would not focus. Sending camera back when she returns. Would be a really nice camera if it worked as it should
I got this purposely as a backup to a Panasonic Camcorder (HC-V770) because many concert venues do not let you bring in a camcorder but they will let you bring in a point-and-shoot camera (tool-based discrimination). This allows me to at least take some video rather than get none.
I have 2 SX720's and carry them everywhere. I bought the SX730 to see what additional technology would do. I found the photo quality the same and although I like the flexible viewing screen the camera appears to be a little larger in physical size and heavier to carry.
This camera does all I wanted plus a lot more. Bought it to carry on hikes instead of my heavy Canon Rebel and lenses. Will need a monopod and/or tripod for digital zoom.
Received mine and could not get it to focus at all. Read the instructions several times, but nothing worked. Sending it back!
I like it work perfect , I worry about some comments but I have a week with her and everything very well, except for the battery, does not last as long as I want, but not a big problem.
Great camera. controls. Good quality. Extreme telephoto requires a tripod. Camera is slow to use (meaning setting up a shot with some manual contrils - but you can do it) but has great capability
Great camera, but I had to buy a replacement from a store. Received a broken camera from Focus. Still trying to get my postage refunded,
