The Canon PowerShot SX530 HS is a fairly compact superzoom camera with a 50x zoom lens, but it can be slow to focus when zoomed in all the way.

50x zoom ratio. Solid control layout. Responsive performance. Fairly compact. Framing assist function. Canon Creative Shot mode. Integrated Wi-Fi with NFC.

Can be slow to lock focus when zoomed. No EVF. HD video limited to 1080p30. Pricey.
The big canon of a zoom with solid image stabilization offers a lot of fun, and the built-in flash is very effective. Though tasteful filters and photo effects are appealing, the burst mode is sluggish and the camera lacks RAW mode.

Extremely powerful zoom lens, Very effective image stabilization, Strong built-in flash, Auto focus is usually fast and accurate, Full 1080p HD video recording, Built-in Wi-Fi, NFC for connecting to smartphones, Tracking AF works pretty well, Good assortment of filters and effects

Subpar image quality in upper zoom range, Unimpressive image quality in low light, Burst mode is slow, Images lack sharp details, Menu navigation is a little clumsy, Battery life isn't great, No external flash shoe
The Canon PowerShot SX530 HS is a new super-zoom camera that updates the SX520 HS released only six months earlier. The main difference is an increase in the zoom range - up to 50x with an equivalent range of 24-1200mm from the earlier model's 38x.
If you're buying the Canon PowerShot SX530 HS, you're in it for the powerful 50x optical zoom. Sure, the SX530 HS is more versatile than a smartphone, giving you more manual and creative controls, better low-light performance than most phones and an all-day battery, but most shoppers will not drop...

Powerful 50x zoom with little distortion, Seamless wireless sharing options, All-day battery life.

Plastic body feels cheap, Relatively small maximum aperture limits low-light shooting, No touch screen, fixed LCD.
The conclusion I came away with after looking at these four bridge cameras is that they can be very useful, as long as you respect their limitations. They all have very small sensors (1/2.3-inch or nominally about 6.2mm x 4.6mm) and hence small pixels, and small pixels mean higher noise.
The Canon PowerShot SX530 HS is by no means a revolutionary camera, but what it does, it does well.A camera like this will generally always represent a compromise. While you have a 50x optical zoom range, the maximum aperture at the wide end is only f/3.5.
The Canon Powershot SX530 HS is a useful update to the SX520, offering additional optical zoom, with a 50x optical zoom lens, whilst still delivering good image quality, as well as offering built-in Wi-Fi and NFC for those that want to transfer photos quickly to a smartphone.

Lacks automatic panoramic and HDR shooting modes, Short battery life unless ECO mode is enabled, Lacks EVF
The mini-DSLR type camera has several features, whopping 50X zoom capability and wireless connectivity including Wi-Fi with NFC. Happy Clicking! Last time we received the with 30X and with 34X ultra-zoom capability and this time Canon brings another bridge camera with the super-zoom capability of...

Slow while locking the focus when zoomed-in, expensive
Canon’s PowerShot SX530 HS may look and feel rather clunky, but it’s a versatile camera that packs a massive zoom lens and some good ease-of-use features. We like to call it an all-round camera, simply because you can use it for portraits (people and flowers), landscapes, and super-zoomed close-ups...

Feels a little cheap, Limiting aperture and shutter values
I researched and purchased this camera as a gift for my 10-year-old granddaughter, who is very interested in learning to take photographs outside of the "Auto" setting. I own Canon's 5D Mark III, but I've spent the past week or so learning and playing with the PowerShot SX530 HS.
Love my new camera. Bought it because my older camera's flash made my kitten' s eyes look like Halloween eyes. His eyes are blue and just reflect the flash. Now they are a beautiful blue as they should be. It also has WiFi so I transfer the pics to my phone and put them on FB.
I had purchased for trip to Disney World for volleyball tournament and the Disney parks. Camera done great with park pictures! Inside at the volleyball tournament was another thing, terrible blurring action pictures. There is not a sport mode on camera and pictures on Auto setting were terrible.
Really impressed with the zoom and clarity. 16mp doesn't sound like much, but it's crisp. No viewfinder but the zoom framing feature makes up for it: hold the button it zooms out for you to find your target, let it go and it zooms back in.
VERY easy to use. It was not too difficult to set up the WIFI either. I am not all the great at the computer and was able to do it. It's so easy to use. I just keep it on AUTO and have been getting great pictures. Love the zoom!

Just received my Canon camera 2 weeks ago and it did not disappoint! Light weight and comfortable to hold and understand. Came with case, strap, lens cover and easy to follow instructions.
GREAT PRICE AND GREAT PICTURES
