With smartphones becoming the camera of choice for everyday photos, it’s hard not to wonder what will happen to compact shooters that were once the versatile tools for so many things.
Although owners of the original Canon PowerShot G9 X aren't going to be too excited by the improvements on offer, the new Mark II does represent a minor step forward for Canon's most pocket-friendly compact camera, particularly in its operational speed.
Excellent camera, excellent images. I use this for digiscoping. I use a 49mm MagFilter attachment. The 52mm MagFilter attachment is too big for the zooming element. The 49 mm attachment - the external diameter of the ring - does not extend beyond the edge of the camera's zoom lens.
I own several different cameras bigger and heavier than this Canon G9 Xii. But this new Canon G9 Xii fits what I need as a light weight pocketable handy camera for when I go strolling around with my dag on our walks. Ptoduces satisfying results. Love it.
Ive owned several Canon G and S series cameras and currently have a G9X. I updated to the G9X Mark II for the improved performance and discovered several other worthwhile improvements. The Mark II performance is noticeably better.
An excellent 1 inch sensor camera. I bought it because it has few buttons on the back right side of the camera to accidently press...I have fairly large hands. It is much better than most small cameras in this respect, but is not infallible by any means.
Love this--they pared down the encyclopedia of functions found on bigger semi-professional cameras to the funnest and most usable. Fits a niche, literally and figuratively, as it is so tiny and easy to keep anywhere.
