The Canon EOS 250D / Rebel SL3 continues the premise of its predecessors: a compact and affordable DSLR aimed at first-time buyers that’s step-up over the cheapest models while delivering what should be the best of both Worlds: a traditional DSLR optical viewfinder and a thoroughly modern live view...
![]() |
There are two cheaper DSLRs in the Canon range than this one – the EOS Rebel T100 / 4000D and the EOS Rebel SL7 / EOS 2000D – but we reckon this EOS SL3 / 250D is a better buy than both of them.
-
+
Very light and compact for a DSLR, Great Live View autofocus response, Vari-angle touchscreen, Simple but effective controls

Only 9 AF points in viewfinder shooting, Thicker body than mirrorless rivals, Four-way pad quite small

Despite its diminutive size and entry-level price tag, the Canon EOS Rebel SL3 is a surprisingly robust, well-built, and well-thought-out DSLR, not just for still images but for video as well.

When the Canon EOS Rebel SL3 was announced, it came as a bit of an unexpected release. Afterall, just a few weeks back, Canon was riding high on the initial reviews of its first full-frame mirrorless camera, the EOS R.

I wanted a camera that could vit a few basic requirements... which would be 4k video, good picture quality, and with a flip screenThis camera was pretty expensive, but when I got it, I realized that it was worth every penny, because it had more features and positives than I could ever imagine.
I purchase this from bhpotovideo, as i'm a beginner in this game. and wanted something not to expensive, and this is it. with the kit lens i can actually work with it. some good features, light weight, small but powerful. the few photos i took people thing im pro. i would recommend
I bought this camera over 5 months ago and it has served me well over the past six months ive been able to shoot suberb photographs and been able to make great looking videos as well. for all the features this camera offers and especially at the price as well. the
This is my first DSLR camera and started learning to capture few pics and learning and lot to do. Till date, as a beginner, loving the camera. It is light weight, nice display for viewing, having good battery back up, videos are coming out with nice clarity.
I wanted to start taking pictures, and I didn’t to get a camera that I wouldn’t know how to use. I got the EOS Rebel SL3 and i was surprised by how easy it is to use. It takes great pictures, overall it has amazing features. I highly recommend this camera, especially to beginners.
A great camera, light and fast and easy to use.
This is the first real camera I've owned, and it is very user friendly and great for me as a beginner! Overall it works great and I like it so far!
I bought this sometime ago and i absolutely love it. i also love cannon but i recommend this over the cannon EOS Rebel T7 EF-S 18-55mm IS II Kit. Although this one is about 200 dollars more, it is better quality and last longer
This is a fab camera ,
I bought the Canon EOS 250D for a photography night school course, I have found this camera lens kit very easy to use; with a touch screen which either gives a simple guided set up or more advanced settings if you want to take it off fully automatic.
