Like its predecessor, the Canon M50 Mark II is an attractively-sized, well-sculpted camera with a good-quality sensor, a responsive vari-angle touchscreen, a decent electronic viewfinder and a very-capable autofocus system.

+
Excellent image quality, Superb implementation of touch-control, Good-quality viewfinder built-in
-

4K video mode crops the frame, Limited lens range
Having a camera handy will, alone, result in more images captured, and the M50 II is especially easy to keep handy. I took this little camera's predecessor along on several short trips and can say that its convenience factor is really high.
While we would in no way recommend upgrading to the Canon EOS M50 Mark II if you own the original camera, if you're coming to the system afresh there are a lot of things to like about it.

Great stills and 1080p, Clean HDMI out, Vertical video, YouTube live streaming

-
4K is very compromised, Eye Detect AF not 100%, Only one control dial, Rolling shutter
As a compact, relatively sophisticated and capable camera for those who like to travel light, the EOS M50 II kit ticks plenty of boxes and has real appeal to those who post images and movie clips to social media. For a serious photo enthusiast, it has limitations.

Small and lightweight body, Good image quality, Proven technology such as Dual Pixel AF, Eye AF

Only minor improvements over the original, No sensorbased image stabilisation, Limited native lens lineup
Canon’s EOS M50 Mark II is a confusing little camera – while it is feature-packed, it’s only a very minor update on the first EOS M50 camera. Other than the addition of eye AF and the ability to shoot vertical video, there’s not really a whole lot different between the two versions.

+
Vertical video recording, Eye AF for stills and video, Great stills
-
-
Heavily cropped 4K video, Limited native lenses, 100fps shooting at only 720p
Like the model before it, the M50 Mark II offers a compact, DSLR styled mirrorless camera, with a 24mp APS-C CMOS sensor, which gives excellent image quality, with the same excellent colour reproduction that you get with Canon EOS DSLRs.

+
Compact and easy to use, Wi-Fi, NFC and Bluetooth built-in, High-resolution electronic viewfinder, Great image quality, Face and eye detection focus (now available in video), 4K video recording, Rapid focus and shutter response, Good value for money

Limited Canon EOS-M lens range, 4K video crops heavily into frame, High-speed video is at 720p resolution
Every aspiring and veteran YouTube creator knows that Canon EOS M50 is one of the best cameras for clicking photos and live streaming. However, Canon recently came out with an upgrade of the same camera dubbed the M50 Mark II.
If you’re looking for a vlog camera, this one is amazing! Pair it with a Rodemicro mic and you’re all set! The eye autofocus is gold.
It’s a Awesome Camera ..Great Picture Quality and Very Handy
My first time using a DSLR camera and couldn't be happier. Easy to use, very light and clear on screen viewing.
I've been using the camera for video only for the last couple of months (the reason I decided to upgrade) and am very happy with its performance so far. I needed a decent video camera for my limited budget with extreme depth of field possibilities and good low-light performance, and am more than...
