The EOS-1D X Mark III enables Canon to remain at the cutting edge of digital SLR technology and is a worthy successor to the Mark II model. The introduction of the HEIF file format and RAW video recording will help it to maintain this position.
After shooting a season of NCAA basketball and volleyball, I have to conclude that my 1DX Mark III has not given me anything that I couldn't do with my 1DX with perhaps one exception. The most exciting feature was supposed to be the face/head tracking.
This is my first series 1 camera and I absolutely love it! With a 600mm ii lens and a 2x extender iii it will focus 3X faster than my 5D Mark IV will. I mostly shoot portraits and wildlife and I find minimal noise at 20000 iso witch is insane. Great for that beautiful morning and evening light.
This camera exceeded my expectations. I've been waiting 2 years for it to come out and it doesnt disappoint this camera cannot take bad photos and cannot take bad video. The C-Log footage is stunning and because the camera is so good my post production process actually takes less time with more...
The 1Dx II and 1DxIII are both outstanding, but the IQ and AF of the MkIII are noticeably better. The new sensor AA filter layer provides the clean sharp detail that one would expect from a much higher mpx sensor, but somehow cleaner. AF is faster, very accurate and doesn't let go.
Received the camera about 2 months ago. Easy to use and a noticeable improvement over the 1DX MK2. For the professional, it's a must have for motorsports, actionsports or wildlife photography. Video is great also !
Love the "tank" but need more resolution. I'm a still photographer need the OVF, don't shoot video. At 40MP this would be a dream camera
It is without a doubt the best camera available for sports, photo journalism, and stuff I don’t do. Nikon and Sony are officially #2 and #3. It’s not your large format for you billboard folks, but it’s the fastest and best for the rest of us.
I started with a 10D then 40D then 7D then 5DMIII the 1DXMKII and now the 1DXMKII. Worked my way to the top and happy I have this camera. Fast, efficient and high quality. There is no substitute.
I bought this a few weeks ago and have been very impressed with it so far. It is a huge step up from my 5D mk iv which is now my back up camera although it remains a brilliant camera too. It was not cheap but it is built like a tank and the AF system is awesome.
I was sceptical at first until I started experimenting and reading more about what the new camera can do, I bought it to replace one of my first generation 1DX's both over seven years old and having over 1.5 million actuations, it was time to replace one at least, I was so blown away by it that I...
