Is the Canon EF 400mm f/4 DO IS II USM Lens right for you? Learn all you need to know in The-Digital-Picture.com's review!
Specification A professional-grade telephoto lens, which sports a moderately fast maximum aperture of f/4, image stabilisation, silent focusing with full-time manual focus override and a relatively compact design, thanks to the use of Diffractive Optics.
I am a professional who has been in the business 40+ years. I've used a lot of different big glass over this time period. I recently bought and used the 400 f4 for a week long assignment on Polar Bears on the North Slope of Alaska. Needed something I could easily manage and hopefully handhold.
Consistent Output, Fast / accurate auto-focus, Good contrast and color, Strong Construction, Very Sharp
OMG!!! I love this lens. It was a splurge but well worth it if you are going to photograph animals, birds in the their natural habitat.
