There have been many reviews that have stated the wish for Canon to implement a push on/push off switch for the IS on these binoculars. I have found a workaround that gives me the best of both options. Find a thick rubber band that will fit tightly around the binoculars over the switch position.
I've had 2 of these units. Both had the same problem. The Battery lid becomes loose and it seems to lose battery contact with the stabilization unit. Eventually, it totally stops working. Have tried to get canon to respond for repair with no luck. Will not buy again.
Does not collapse enough for me to see without some double visions issues. Burns through batteries rather fast.
As I already have a pair and have used them ten years or so I know these are good quality and will last. These were a gift for a special friend I spend time with.
We haven't used these a lot yet - but so far - very pleased. The view is crisp
I have had a pair of these for many years and loved them. They are on the expensive side but still are great. The new set I ordered was for a friend that wanted a pair.
