The circular polarizer filter is, by far, my favorite filter type. These filters are most commonly threaded onto the end of a lens. Because Canon's big white lenses have a huge front objective lens size, these threaded filters are not practical.
A bit expensive but still a useful product application for the Canon telephoto lenses. Polarizing filters cant be counted upon to reduce glare without adjustment to address the source of the glare.
Excited to receive my 82mm Circular Polarizing Filter. Can't wait to shoot with it.
Omce again, Canon yweaks an accessory my a milimeter or two to require purchase of a new filter holder or polarizer. Really?
control wheel is hard to get at when adjusting light. It is small does not protrude high enough to get a finger on. hides under the flash mount protrusion on front of on the camera. Poorly designed.
Performs as described. Always a positive experience shopping at BH
Very pleased with this purchase. Makes shooting over water or in the sky a manageable process. Slips in very quickly and retains image quality. Excellent item.
A natural fit for a Canon lens. Fits on the 40mm as expected, and with the Canon lens hood , great protection. Does not decrease image quality as far as I can see.
It's easy to use and I have no complaints. You get what you pay for. Feels tuff and durable. Step up or shut up.
Before purchasing a super zoom 500mm lens I was very concerned about how I would tackle a polarizing filter but Canon has really made life easy with their Drop-In Circular filter easily accessible from the top of the lens and simple to change out for other Drop-In's such as a UV or gel.
I use this with my Canon 400mm F2.8 and Canon 800mm 5.6 lenses and have no complants about it. Does what it is designed to do.
