GE Cafe’ Refrigerator (thumbs down)
1. Not impressed. Water dispenser poorly placed. Holding refrigerator door open the entire time you’re trying to secure cold glass of water…waste of open door energy. 2. Having repair person come out because you think your GE Cafe’ refrigerator is trying to send you a Morse Code…only to find out “they all do that”. Funny thing is, I’ve been a GE fan most of my life. The design/appearance is fantastic. To offer outside of the box colors (i.e. flat black) is Amazing. But y’all need to do something about the annoying noice that comes out of that refrigerator. It’s just wrong & sounds like it’s broken for the money paid for higher end product.

Purchased this for the main purpose of cabinet depth, however I did not anticipate the angle of the door swing. It hits the half wall it is positioned next to. Had to pull it 3 inches forward and just lost the cabinet depth design I was looking for. Clean looking styling with not have the water dispenser on the outside of the door, however not the easiest to get to with the door shelving. You really have to open both doors just to get to the water dispenser. Not very practical.
Not sure why the compressor has to run so long and why it is so noisy. I wish it was quiet packed like my dishwasher. And why does it have to run so long at a time?

Don't waste your money!
We have had nothing but problems since we purchased the fridge just over a year ago. After about 6 months, it stopped cooling. After multiple service calls, they ended up basically rebuilding the refrigerator. It worked for awhile. We have had it just over a year now and it's not cooling again! What is going on GE! We are being told we have to pay a service fee and whatever the cost may be to fix their faulty appliance since it is over the 1 year manufacturer warranty. Thid is very disappointing and upsetting given the cost of the appliance and the fact our kitchen was just redone to fit this specific refrigerator!! We will never buy another GE product again!

Refrigerator from HELL!!!!
Moved in to my new house 3 months ago. First service call freezer shut down. Service man said freezer drawer not in correctly. Refrigerator shut down two days later but recovered. One week ago stopped making ice. Two days door alarm will not stop going off, water dispenser will not work, interior light have shut down except meat drawer. Refrigerator contents have started to sweat so moving to garage refrigerator. Freezer still freezing so far. Service man not coming for two more days. This is the worst refrigerator I have ever had! I bought it because I love the appearance.

Beautiful fridge, compressor broke in 2 weeks!!!
Was really hoping this fridge would be dependable for the price. Compressor broke a little over 2 weeks after installation, after multiple rescheduled deliveries on their part. Lost all of our food because no one through the manufacturer could service for over a week and half. Will not have new compressor installed for another 2 weeks at a minimum. So lost food, lost time from work to be home for the servicing, and now all the money that will be spent eating out because we don't have a working refrigerator. The most expensive mistake I've ever made. I did my research before purchasing (for months) and I just feel beyond disappointed and frustrated.

A little disappointed
With the cost of this unit I was hoping for a bit more than just the unique flat white aesthetic. The french doors are tough to get level and I've adjusted mine as far as I can in opposite directions and it's still a bit off.
After about 30 days the freezer stopped cooling. Set at 0 degrees F and rose to 18 degrees in half a day. It seems to have self corrected after 24 hours but we did have to run everything to the outside. It wasn't all the full so I don't think we blocked any of the fans or vents? Some other less expensive options out there also have more bells and whistles like different ice cube shapes and beverage front doors.

Great Refrigerator, really marginal WIFi App
Refrigerator seems to be of high quality and appearance. I was excited to hook up my phone to the refrigerator and be able to remotely track things. Yes, it was nice to know the door was open. It was nice to be able to set the temperatures for the freezer and the main compartment. BUT THERE IS NO WAY TO SEE THE CURRENT TEMPERATURE IN THE FREEZER OR IN THE MAIN COMPARTMENT! The one thing that I was interested in (and clearly your computer knows this information) was the current state inside the refrigerator. No current temperature in either compartment. Please go in and redesign your software so it supplies that important piece of information.

PROS: THE FINISH IS BEAUTIFUL. I LOVE THAT THE SIDES OF THE REFRIGERATOR ARE ALSO MATTE AND NOT GLOSSY BLACK. THE INSIDE LIGHTS ARE GLORIOUS, THERE IS A TON OF ROOM FOR THINGS IN THE DOORS, AND I LOVE THAT THE WATER DISPENSER IS INSIDE.
CONS: I READ REVIEWS THAT SAID THE REFRIGERATOR IS LOUD. LET ME CLARIFY FOR THOSE REVIEWS. IT IS NOT GENERALLY LOUD WHEN JUST REGULARLY RUNNING. BUT IT IS VERY LOUD WHEN THE WATER LINE IS ADJUSTING. OUR UNIT WAS ALSO DELIVERED WITHOUT A BOLT FOR ONE OF THE HANDLES, SO WE'VE HAD NO HANDLE FOR MORE THAN A WEEK ON OUR FREEZER. THE WATER DISPENSER, WHILE I LOVE THAT IS INSIDE, IS A LITTLE HARD TO PUSH.
