Excellent upgrade
We purchased the Double oven Cafe' range in Oct. 2018. This was an excellent upgrade from our old, outdated range. We love all the features it has to offer. The only change I would suggest is that you consider changing the warmer burner into an actual functioning burner. If this were the case, then the front two burners could be used for large pots or pans and utilize the back middle (warmer) burner to cook on. We have found that when using the front two burners for large pots, you are limited to small pots on the back two burners. This is only thing I would suggest changing.

Has some drawbacks
I bought the Cafe range primarily for the two oven feature. However, I am sorry I did now because the top oven is too small and the bottom oven requires me to practically lie on the floor to use it. I can not imagine how I will put a Thanksgiving turkey in this bottom oven. The door of the bottom oven just clears the floor when open. I think it would have been better to put the larger oven on the top, which would get more use and be more functional. Suggestion to potential buyers who are seniors: don't buy this range unless you have good knees and considerable upper body strength so you can utilize your lower oven without help.

great features BUT
The range works wonderfully and the top is much easier to keep clean than our last stovetop. BUT you must, and I mean are required to download the app and link your range via wifi in order to use basic features like convection roast and air fry. This is a reprehensible practice. None of my other GE appliances require wifi to work. And then the app says I need a “wifi update”, as if it’s going to mess with my wifi. Get it together GE. Good thing I didn’t get one of these for my mother. She wouldn’t be able to use half the features since she doesn’t have wifi.

Quality Control is Awful
Purchased this oven and it arrived in February 2022. One week later the large burner broke. Repairs took 2 1/2 months to complete, including 4 different repair visit due to backordered parts and the repair guys ordering the wrong parts. It then functioned normally for 2 weeks. Now the entire cooktop stopped working with no warning. A cooktop is a fairly simple product, and I’ve never had an oven or cooktop with so many issues. I am extremely disappointed given the cost of this item. And concerned that once the warranty is up, I’ll be on the hook for expensive repairs every several months for the life of the oven?

Control panel issues and uneven baking
The burners work great. Our control panel went out about 10 months after installation. The tech came out and replaced the entire board. We had no problems for another 8 months and then the same issues started happening. Tech came out again and initially stated that this was a known issue with the double oven models. During the visit he received some ‘information’ from his supervisor and then stated that the issue was with the cleanliness of the control panel, and not a manufacturing flaw.
We also bake regularly in both ovens, and have learned to rotate whatever we are baking halfway through the bake time to avoid an uneven bake.

READ BEFORE YOU BUY!!!!
I waited a year for my range. It worked for 2 weeks in August. Since then, technicians have visited 4 times and it still doesn't work. Then i got sent a supposed new range but i doubt its new as it has parts missing. If its new it means Cafe does not have a quality control system which is scary considering the price you pay for the units. I will NEVER buy Cafe or any GE appliances. This was my first and last time

Worst stove i have ever used
On paper this stove checked every box for me. But it is the WORST STOVE I HAVE EVER USED! I got the electric model... I have used both gas and electric ovens but chose electric this time around for specific reasons. I have 4 kids and cook at home several times a day every day and I even have a degree in Home ec education (teaching home ec in high school). The oven heats un evenly and everything is under cooked on one side and over cooked on the other. The range either doesn't cook anything or it burns it. Seems to be no medium heat. It you put water on to boil over medium heat it takes about 24 minutes... I tried to return it but LG was not helpful at all :(

Elevated Form Over Quality
My husband and I replaced all of our kitchen appliances last year after our 11 yo GE Profile fridge died. I was so excited as GE Cafe is billed as an elevated, high-performance appliance line -- albeit at a higher price point than GE Profile. The most important thing to me was that it was GE. I certainly don't mind paying more for GE, the brand stood for quality and value. But boy, was I fooled. This range -- and frankly, all the other Cafe appliances -- have been problematic almost from the start. Today, the ceramic cooktop on the range cracked. For the SECOND time. On the front burner. In LESS THAN A YEAR. My 11 yo GE Profile range cooktop never cracked. I'm not sure what has happened to GE quality and value, but I'll think long and hard before investing in GE appliances if GE's new mantra is "elevated form over quality."
