Nice range, lots of features, but a few bumps in the road. Surface cooling fan motor needs a new bearing, which will be done under warranty, but we've been waiting several weeks now for the part. Convection fan sometimes seems to turn on and off randomly (new relay control board is on the way too). Also, frequently when the oven is opened, the warming drawer control panel activates (I suspect escaping steam from the oven is fooling the touch pad) and the oven door doesn't open to the full horizontal position, evidently by design, which is mostly just annoying, but does make it difficult to access the lowest oven shelf position.

Poor performance and sparks in the oven
We had a Bosch that failed and went to CAFE brand because of their reputation for being full featured and reliable. Although there are sufficient features, there are some issues with this stove.
We find 2 of the stove top burners are not good at temperature regulation. The large one on the right side is too hot even on low.
The oven convection settings seem to be cooler than what is shown on the screen. Tonight while baking cookies it started to spark and smoke in the back by the fan. I immediately turned it off. The fire went out but WHAT????!!!! Not happy overall with this stove.

EXTREMELY Disappointed - Unreliable oven features.
Oven temps are not consistent. Oven preheats fine, but during cooking the temp drops 75 -100 degrees. I have ruined 5-7 cakes which come out undercooked. Tried to cook a casserole - center of pan not cooked. Tried to increase temp to help, then preheat takes over an hour to go from 350-375. Something is just not right with this product. Also, I'm not sure GE stands behind their products. We purchased this unit in May, 2023. I have had 5 repair visits, replace main board, lower element. GE is sending a new unit - which I'm very suspicious of another 700 series. GE - stand behind your units or give a REFUND!

Broken parts
Cooks just fine. But I’m on my second replacement oven. The first one came brand new in the box and one burner didn’t turn on at all and the “hot surface” light would never turn off so never knew if it was really hot or not. My replacement one came almost a year later and this one makes a loud buzzing sound all the time from the vent area when it’s on and while it’s cooking. It’s very loud and very annoying. And I’m pretty sure the vent isn’t working at it’s full capacity. The first stove I had did not make this noise. But I’m so over after over a year and a half of this that I’m just keeping it and dealing with it. Unless the Cafe company wants to respond to this address it themselves…

Great upgrade after 25 years
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] After 25 years of using the same range and absolutely great one I now have updated to this beautiful café. It’s absolutely fantastic. It is everything I dream of. I cannot stop staring at it. It’s beautiful. The capacity is amazing. They power burner. It’s incredible.
I have made pizzas multiple ones and they all come out absolutely amazing. I have baked. It’s absolutely amazing. I just can’t get enough of it. I also have the microwave and oh my God I’m completely in love. I recommend anyone who wants to upgrade to go for these Cafe models in the near future I will buy handles that match the handles of my cabinets

Thought I did my homework from
Oven does not heat above 250°, even after repair
I bought this stove 3 weeks ago. Love how it looks, but the oven hasn't worked since we got it. The cook top works well, but the oven doesn't heat up more than 250°. The temperature reads 350 or 450 on the digital screen, but the oven thermometer says otherwise. Repair service person consulted GE, ordered a new sensor panel and replaced it, bit we still have the same issue! I think I'll have to return this. Not starting off on a good foot :/

Great features and looks awesome.
Love the range so far. Preheat time is so much faster than the kitchen aid I replaced. 13 mins to preheat to 400 degrees vs my old range which took 40 mins. Only downside is you don’t know which burner is cooling down. There is a light to show a burner is still hot but it is on the front panel and not on the surface next to burner. Although it dose seem to cool down quickly. The control dials are not flimsy. You won’t accidentally turn a burner on which was an issue with my old range. Haven’t had a chance to try all the features yet. I do use the app and so far it’s worked great. Customer service responded quickly to help me get the app setup.

Great Range with Good Looks
We bought this cooktop range in stainless to update the look of our kitchen about a month ago. We can't use gas but still wanted the look of a professional stove. So far we are very happy. Pros: The surface and oven temperatures are precise. Knob are in a convenient, safe location, and easy to use even for the dual burner settings, control panel is easy to use. Cons: Max setting for the timer alert is not loud enough unless you are in the kitchen, most disheartening is something spilled on the cooktop that no amount of effort or product has been successful at removing. We have not yet tried the self-cleaning mode but we did choose this over other brands offering steam cleaning.
