Frustrated.
I recently remodeled my kitchen and fell in love with the concept of the two drawer dishwasher. Firstly, we had to wait ages for the delivery as the order was messed up. When it was finally installed, it leaked, randomly locked itself, and had to be removed, thankfully without damage to my new cabinets. Today a new unit was delivered for installation. When it was unpacked the installer found it to be damaged in such a way that it would leak if used. I cannot express how frustrated and disappointed I am. My husband does not want me to order a third unit as he has no faith in it anymore. I would not have expected this from such an expensive item.

Beautiful and functional
We love the two drawer system. We have a busy household and I’m an avid cook so we always have one drawer running. It’s nice to be able to always fill a drawer and keep the sink free of dishes. One complaint is the optional handles. We had our contractor switch ours to the brushed copper option. Unfortunately the handle can’t seem to tighten onto the appliance enough and because it is loose it has begun to chip the white paint after only 3 months of being installed. When we reached out to GE they said the removable handles aren’t covered under warranty. Seems strange considering they make and sell the handles.

Major flaw in the design
So far I love this product. It is quiet and does a great job cleaning the dishes. Major design flaw though is there is no way to tell that the cycle has finished. I have had dishwashers the last 40 years of my life and I’ve never had one that doesn’t tell you by some kind of light on the outside or even when you open it up to say “clean”. To say that you can tell if you can’t open the drawer is not a good way to tell because I have been able to open it whether or not it’s still running or not and then you have to start the cycle over again. I am quite sure if I knew this about this dishwasher I would not have purchased it so buyer beware!

I really wanted to love this dishwasher
Have owned this dishwasher for about month now. My issue is my dishes do not dry even on the ultra-dry setting. Also, you can't use this setting with just the normal wash. I don't want to have to dry all my dishes after they come out of a dishwasher. Prior to this dishwasher I owned a GE Monogram. My dishes always came out of the dishwasher completely dry. On the dishwasher I have, you really have to push down on the buttons and you never know where you are on the start button as there is no indication. My last complaint is this dishwasher is made to use powder dish detergent, which is hard to find nowadays as most people use either the liquid or the tablets..

Poor design
We have two kitchens. The regular Cafe dishwasher works just fine. The Cafe dishwasher drawers...not so much. The dishwasher drawers were not designed properly. After the cycle ends, a significant amount of water pools at the top edge of the drawer. We just replaced the heating element, but it didn't help that much. The washer also doesn't accommodate larger dishes. Be warned that the drawers look nice, but are fundamentally flawed in their design and functionality. The dishwasher silverware basket holes for the utensils aren't big enough to accommodate standard utensil sizes. It's useless. I wish I had two regular dishwashers!

Most expensive and worst dishwasher ever
We've had it for a year and there is only a 50/50 chance that dishes will be clean after running. We've switched to powder (which is hard to find these days!) and resorted to pre-washing the dishes and filling the racks only about half full, but nothing makes a difference. I've washed more dishes by hand in the last year than I have in my whole life up to this point. Additionally, there is consistently standing water in the bottom after the cycle has run completely. We thought we did our homework before investing in Cafe appliances, but they were the biggest mistake we made when renovating our kitchen. Learn from our error! They are beautiful but that's about it .

Love this with a few exceptions
This is a very stylish and useful dishwasher. I live alone and love starting this when it’s full and not having to wait until both drawers are full. I love how they open like a drawer. They do fine cleaning. However, there’s NO way to tell when it’s done unless you carefully listen to see if it’s making sounds. It’s fairly quiet and easy to forget it’s running and open it mid-cycle. There’s no wifi component either to know how much time is left - this also isn’t anywhere on the washer itself. The inside is plastic and not stainless steel. While nice, there’s still a lot of room for improvements.

Don't make the mistake I made
I purchased this dishwasher because of it's look. I had read some review where people say it doesn't clean well, it's noisier than other dishwashers....and I thought I could get over that...but I was so wrong. To not make this a long story, please see notes of dislikes below.

- Please note, the inside of the dishwasher is plastic, very cheap plastic.
-There have been numerous times where it leaves my dishes dirty.
-It's noisy when drying dishes.
-Not many plates fit in one drawers so the use of two drawers is needed.
-paid WAY too much for a plastic cheaply made dishwasher
