Coverage starts the day you buy (or receive) the product, but the mechanical/electrical‐failure portion only becomes active once the shortest part of the manufacturer's warranty expires. Power-surge protection (and, if purchased, accidental-damage protection) begins on day one.

Yes. Protection continues for the remainder of the plan term until the aggregate cost of repairs or replacements reaches the item's original purchase price.

It depends on the issue. We may refund you for the product's purchase price, send a replacement, or arrange a repair. If a certified service center is nearby, you'll simply bring the item there. If not, you can ship it to us, and we'll cover round-trip shipping.

If we cannot repair your item, we will provide you with a replacement or reimbursement amount equal to the product price.

Neither plan covers pre-existing conditions, cosmetic damage, routine maintenance, or consumables, misuse, abuse, or unauthorized alterations, loss, theft, or mysterious disappearance, environmental events (fire, flood, rust, vermin, etc.), data/software, or incidental/consequential losses. The accidental-damage add-on also excludes gradual wear, cosmetic-only dings from drops, submersion/corrosion, and intentional or reckless acts.

Photography Gear extended coverage protects against mechanical/electrical failures, normal wear and tear affecting the product's functionality, and power surge damage to the camera body, lenses, flashes, and other covered accessories, up to the item's purchase price.

The accidental damage plan provides everything in the breakdown plan, plus coverage for sudden and unforeseen accidental damage, including drops, liquid spills, and other physical damage to the item. The accidental-damage Photography plan adds a single-event drop, bump, or liquid-spill benefit that repairs or replaces the gear if the damage prevents normal operation.

Eligible items include DSLR and mirrorless camera bodies, lenses, flashes, light meters, mounted microphones, video rigs, action cameras, and comparable professional or prosumer photo/video equipment purchased from the merchant.
