I just started feeding birds in my yard. This binocular is just great for the purpose. Just the right amount of magnification and excellent clarity. A great bang for the buck.
This is my second pair of this version, and the price was unbeliavable !
Got it for my daughter with a house at Jersey shore. Her 10 year old son learned to use it and got a big thrill when he watched an osprey dive, catch a fish and carry it away in its talons. They would each give the binoculars 5 stars.
Bought these for casual birding. Good optics at a great price (though still waiting on a $ rebate). Little on the heavier side, but the water and fog proofing make up for that, in addition to the generous eye relief. At this price, porro is almost always a safer bet than roof (no phase correction...
I admit I was attracted to these binoculars by the huge reduction offered. Also I wanted a bombproof pair which would survive a tough life. Our previous pair had finally come apart.
