Great Prices and Great Experience
"I’ve purchased two TVs through Greentoe, and both experiences have been excellent. Best prices I could find anywhere, and both TVs were delivered right to my door without any issues.
My only mistake was forgetting that Greentoe offers a lot more than just TVs! I recently purchased applioances elsewhere and afterward realized I should have checked Greentoe first.
Greentoe will definitely be one of the first places I check before making a major purchase. Let's get the word out, and let the free market dictate prices. Craig Barton Scottsdale AZ"View article

Nice machine but cut some corners
I bought this asking with non-pressurized baskets. So far it works decently, heats up super fast, and streams great. Very good looking machine at a good price. But to get that price point (probably to compete with Dedica) they cut some corners. The included portafilter is aluminum with plastic lining which isn't mentioned anywhere. Maybe just me but I don't like hot acidic coffee touching aluminum or plastic before drinking it. No frothing cup is included. The temperature seems a little low for espresso drinks, but steam is a good temperature. So becomes less a good deal when you factor in the cost of buying a real portafilter and frothing cup.

Worth the splurge if you need an effective espresso machine but have limited space!
This machine sits perfectly in my studio apartment kitchen, while allowing me to pretend I am a barista at a fancy coffee shop. The automatic milk frother is by far the best feature on this and worth the extra cost when contemplating between the bambino and bambino plus. The quality of the coffee is enough to make me jump out of bed early in the morning due to the excitement! I am absolutely in love with my machine, even though when taking out the portafiler you have to grip the machine entirely. I found that by having the machine touching the wall behind it, it facilitates the portafilter removal.

Disappointing machine overall
The espresso comes out a touch above room temperature. Every ~10 days the machine tells me that it needs descaling and it will not produce any espresso until the cycle is complete. Very annoying to have this happen in the morning and not be able to bypass it. Not sure how this thing measures how many shots I've pulled but I certainly do not pull 200 shots in 10 days! The portafilter feels a bit cheap and you have to wrestle with the machine a bit to be able to remove it. The only big positive of this machine is that it is very quiet compared to other machines I've used in the past. Overall this machine is disappointing for the amount of money I paid for it.

I was thrilled at first then totally disappointed
I purchased this a little over a year ago and initially was thrilled with this espresso machine. After the first cleaning the lights didn't reset but I could live with that. Then our 2 cup double wall filter coffee filter stopped working and I wasn't able to find a replacement. I just used the 1 cup one and did it twice. It was annoying but I still loved the espresso that it made. Then the leaking started. I thought it was the tray and emptied it more. Then I thought it was the tank but it's fine. There is an internal leak that made the machine shut down. I am not able to use it anymore and am so disappointed.

Too Much water out of Steam wand (Single Hole)
I love the size and the espresso it brews. However, every milk based drink tastes watered down. I thought it was the espresso at first, but I started looking at the one hole steam wand tip. You can clearly see water jetting out mixed with the steam (after first purging to get water stream out). I don't know if the four holes on the Plus disperse the steam better, but the single hole on the base model does not work. After steaming into an empty pitcher for 30 seconds, there is almost 1/2 of an inch of water sitting in the bottom of the pitcher. This makes the steam wand useless in my opinion. (Check picture)

Never get between someone and their coffee
The machine makes good coffee. But just wait till you get up one morning, your mouth watering for a nice espresso. You tamp the grinds, fill the water. Wait. Nope. Time for a descaling now. You won't get your espresso because the bambino is going to throw a little fit until you run it thru the descaling process. It's done this to me three times and its the most annoying thing ever. A warning before the hard stop would've been nice. Or maybe skip the hard stop and just making it a warning so I can make one more, two more even (I'm sure this isn't going to hurt it) and then do it at a better time. One of your top three rules should be to never get between someone and their coffee. Annoyed.

Easy to Use
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love the Bambino Plus. It is so easy to use. It has an entire manual but also a quick start instruction sheet that made it so easy. It is incredibly well made. It is sturdy and made of high quality stainless steel. All the accessories are well made too. It is every bit a machine I would expect to see at a coffee shop. The expresso I made turned out perfectly with no mess. The frother works extremely well and had a lot of height and fluff. I used whole milk and then on the second time added a little creamer to the milk. Both frothed well. This would be a great buy for a coffee lover and make a very nice gift for one too.

Inconvenient repair
The machine is supposed to require cleaning after 250 cups poured. Ours, however, is requiring cleaning after half that number of pours. Our choice now is to live with this inconvenience or send it in for repair and be without a coffee maker for 2-3 weeks or more. Since our machine is so new, Breville should provide a replacement - or at least a loaner during repair. The representative on the phone acknowledged that the machine had just been improperly programmed. That is no fault of ours, but we are the ones who will be inconvenienced by not having a coffee maker, which we paid a lot of money for, during this repair down time.
