Bose SoundTouch SA-5 Amplifier

I have been looking for a sound system for outside by the pool. I don't need to look any farther. This is the system. I combined this with Bose 251 speakers and it is awesome. The system is super easy to install and control using the Soundtouch app. I highly recommend it anyone.

The system works well except the Bluetooth for controlling the volume and music selection is limited in distance from base. We are using mostly for the outdoor pool and often cannot adjust the volume of music because there is no Bluetooth connection.

Great little device. Bluetooth for streaming music from home, internet radio and auxiliary inputs if you need that. Enough power to drive a set of Vienna Acoustics Schonberg quite nicely. It stows neatly in an AV cabinet, making for a very clean installation.

Very disappointed with the receiver/amplifier. Speakers are great!. Don't buy the combination.....the receiver/amplifier does not connect with "apple remote" so I tried the "workaround" with the "SoundTouch" app to play my music off my server...it consistently losses the wifi connection.

Set up was not very easy but once installed speakers sound is very good as any other bose product. I am very happy with them. Amplifier also very good an easy to install.

Very easy to set up, this unit has as much power as the SA-4 and produces excellent sound quality. It does not inclde the remote as the SA-4, which I really liked. However, you can use the Bose app on your tablet or smartphone.

Used the SA5 as part of a trio of Bose Speakers. Used for streaming.

I replaced an old Bose amplifier with 3 new Bose SoundTouch SA-5 amplifiers, the installation was easy and updating them with the latest patches was a no brainer. The only issue I have is with the cost...each amplifier can only handle 2 sets of speakers and each amplifier acts as its own zone.

Needed an outdoor system for the yard ...this along with the 351 speakers make for a great solution.
