I am replacing this hood after 6 years, two motor changes, and an inop switch which probably is a $20 item that would cost me $300. Worked fine for three years, then the motor went out and I had to replace it.
Great noise maker but not effective. I sprinkled white flour in front of this piece of junk, and I do have it properly vented with six inch duct, and it did not suck it in. Bosch blamed me for a duct issue. I put a blow drier on the vent and it worked just fine.
