Like most good headphones, sound in many ways leaves speakers standing and the closed-back privacy is handy

Ive had the 80 ohm version for over a year now and am very happy with them. In the past I've owned several Sennheiser, Sony and higher impedance Beyerdynamics head phones. These are by far the most pleasurable to listen to and wear.

People tend to misunderstand the purpose of these headphones. To clear things up, they are quite opposites to the DT770 pro, with emphasis on mids and recessed bass and treble. For drumming the strong mid transients makes them perfect for tracking as it's really easy for the drummer to hear all the...

Pretty disappointed with these to be honest. I did A LOT of research and weighed up quite a few options before shelling out, and hoped I'd found the perfect set of headphones. I'm a drummer and was looking for a pair of cans to block out the noise of my drums whilst listening to my ipod/recording.

Sound quality not as good as my cheaper t Bone monitor headphones Had hoped these would be a good replacement as needed volume control as a Drummer it's easier to adjust without leaving the kit to adjust volume at studio mixer

Good for e-drums. Good isolation so that you can't hear the "plonk" sound when hitting the pads. Not much bass - I would not use them for music listening.

I have both the DT770 M 80 Ohm and the DT770 Pro 250 Ohm headphones. The 250 Ohm version has significantly better sound quality, if you can live with the horrible coiled cable.

I previously used the AKG K-271 MKII and it is day and night. Both have a very different sound, but it sounds more balanced, but against less analytical.
