I specifically purchased this tripod to use in harsh environments, mud, crud, water, sand, etc. I could not bring myself to use my carbon fiber Gitzo in these conditions. This tripod very well built, is smooth to setup, and is rock solid holding my heaviest load 5D, 70-200 2.8 with a 2x extender.
I am running this with the HD2A Pan head. Took it to Zion National park to break it in...it was fantastic. Reviewed the HD2A separately so Ill focus on the TMA28A here. We hiked several miles with this guy and it was super easy to balance and carry.
We purchased this tripod to use for interior shooting in low-light environment, and to use in the field for macro shooting insects. The tripod is very solid, and easy to use. We've paired it with a Siriu K-40X ball head, and they work great together.
I found this tripod works great with my heavy Canon lenses. Fits in my suitcase with ease. Great value.
Very robust and well made this product met expectations
Found good and well made and I am happy with it
For the longest time (4 years) I put off purchasing a new tripod. As a landscape photographer, I knew I should upgraded but my old manfrotto seemed to work well enough, even with half the leg flip locks broken because I never raised it due to its unsteady nature.
This is a superb, versatile tripod that screams quality. It comes in a padded carry bag, in which is a drawstring bag, in which is the tripod. The tripod is solid, well made and easy to use. The four section telescopic legs have three leg positions, all of which can be set individually.

Poor user instructions
I finally coughed up the funds to get serious about my tripod. What an incredible difference in quality compared to the big box store options. I opted for the aluminum vs the carbon because there IMO wasnt that much weight difference vs the serious increase in price.
I use this set of legs with a 5ds and various Zeiss lenses so the max 14kg loading is ample. Very sturdy and lightweight. Ive used other brands some big namers and this is just as good and was a bargin at WEX. The leg locks work great and secure easily.
