Fantastic video head! I originally tried the Benro S8 with my Sony mirrorless cameras: the NEX 5 and NEX 7 but it wasn't quite as smooth as I had hoped when going from dead-stop to moving. It's also twice the weight of the S6 (about 5lbs!).
I have 2 of these on different sticks. After 2 years, the QR plate release button broke into two pieces. I've searched, buy can't find a replacement part for it, or any parts except the QR plate. I'm really dreading sending the whole thing in to pay to replace a $2 part (guessing).
Ok, so this fluid head is great but I can't give it quite a 5 star rating and here is the reason why. When I mount it onto my slider, it doesn't quite have a 360 degree or even a 180 degree pan.
Great video head. Very light and good price
Great video head for tripod or monopod.
Bought this just so go on our slider . Been pretty happy with benro stuff
I bought 2 of these heads at the same time because I purchased a monopod of the same brand which I actually love, and now I think these heads are fantastic, really smooth pans and tilt operations, very light compared to another brand.
Well I bought it know I was going to do use it not to often but after using it I can't stop. It does have its downside which I think is you can't control the panning horizontal you can just unlock it and it's one speed.bother than that it's really durable and great price .
Used with a monopod to hold a Sigma Sports 150-600mm lens on a Nikon D7200. With the counterbalance and a long plate I'm able to have the camera/lens combination come crashing down when the tilt is not locked, at most angles if I let go of the camera or head handle the lens/camera stays put or at...
This is the best fluid head I've used. That is all.
