NEVER OWNED SUCH AN IMPRESSIVE AMP......YOU CAN PAY A LOT MORE AND GET LOTS LESS WITH OTHER AMP BRANDS.......I HAVE USED BEHRINGER NOW FOR ALMOST 15 YEARS.....NEVER HAD ISSUES.......KEEP YOUR AMPS CLEAN....REMOVE A FEW SCREWS ; OPEN THE TOP AND BLOW IT OUT WITH YOUR COMPRESSOR OR CANNED AIR.
This thing is simple and straight to the point. It's sturdy and fits well in my rack mount. It is a little heavy but I'll take some extra weight for extra protection.
Its a great amp for the price and its simple to use and it can blow up some power if use properly i defenetly recomded this if you low on budget and you want something good.
This is my 2nd Behringer. though we used QSC's for a number of years, we hand a blown channel that was factory repaired twice, both repairs failed, this went on for 6 months. I pick up a EP2500 and ran it bridged mono as a replacement waiting on the QSC.
I have had a lot of power amps. My favorites are my QSC's, especially my old ex4000's. They are 20 years old and crush the subs. They are also going for a grand used. I have an ep1500, 2500, and 4000. They are great for the money. I blew a 4000 after 3 years, and elected to just replace it.
Hello , This amp ,is fantastic, I have 2 , it pushes my peavey sp6 s very nicely , with plenty of headroom ... Its prob,ly the best priced amp out there. with very high quality.. thx tony........
It is frustrating to see a breaker on an amp which indicates the maximum power draw is less than 1800W, yet the manufacturer advertises 4 ohms bridged load at 2400W RMS. Simple thermodynamics will tell you this amp must be well under 1000W.
I already own two EP2500's, so it was no surprise that the EP4000 was all of that and more. I run a couple of Peavey 18 bass bins wired in series with the amp in bridged mono mode. Built like a tank, quiet, with plenty of power and headroom to spare. This was a perfect addition to my rig.
I was surprised by the performance and quality of the EP 4000. I have used Crowns, QSC, and Peavey in the past. I purchased this for under $400 and was skeptical. The reviews for the EP4000 were all positive, but I was determined not to be swayed by the reviews.
I have used a variety of amps-Crown,QSC, and Peavey-over the years, and I am impressed with punch the EP 4000 delivers for the money. It is quiet and the sound is clear. It weighs over 50lbs, but it is heavy duty and reliable. Put it through the test for two weeks straight and it has not failed.
