The New Orleans Model trombone was designed to provide musicians with huge, powerful sound. This instrument was conceptualized with input from Big Sam Williams of Big Sam's Funky Nation and Gregory Veils of the Grammy winning ReBirth Brass Band, two New Orleans-based musicians whose powerful playing abilities require equipment that can fill a large venue.This instrument is the largest option in BAC's Jazz trombone category. The wide (.525") Nickel slide provides great flexibility and presence. The NOLA Model is ideal for a musicians needing a powerful medium bore horn. This instrument would be considered a medium-heavy weight trombone, which enhances the carrying power. The brush finish and hand-engraved bell provide a stunning, attention-grabbing look. The specially formulated thin lacquer facilitates the responsive and vibrant characteristics of an unlacquered instrument while still serving as protection for the attractive aesthetics.
