Audio Technica made a beastly direct drive turntable, designed for use in nightclubs while catering to the vinyl enthusiasts who wish to digitize their music. The torque on this is 4.5kgf.cm, cementing its place among the most powerful motors in the DJ industry.
More than capable with sound, but better with features Good sense of drive Plenty of features Built-in phono stage Could be more subtle and cohesive Those features add to the price
I’ve had a few versions of the lesser expensive Audio Technica turntables and those were good for home use. But with this model, the AT-1240 with the AT-XP5 cartridge, you truly get what you pay for and more. Plays really well and the adjustable Start, Brake and Pitch controls are spot on!
I've been spinning for nearly 40 years and fell in love all over again spinning with turntables Tracking is flawless and the direct drive motor is a beast. I also love the replaceable rca and power cables. The price is very reasonable and the quality is fantastic.
Very well built great sounding unit. Its heavy which I like and on 4 shock absorbing pads. Plays perfect. Everything is heavy duty on the unit. I like that you can seethe speed is correct.Direct drive which I like a lot. Heavy duty motor. Wow just a super turntable.
I have been a spinning wax since 1991 I got my first real pair of tables in 2000, which was a great used pair of Technics 1200's later got 2 more Then owned a New 1210. Now I never thought in a million years that a new turntable could steal my heart away until I purchased a new pair of AT-LP 1240'S.
Love this turntable it's rugged, and it's smooth.l have No complaints. It's like a good looking woman you just have to fall in Love with it!!
Love the table, heavy and well constructed. Would recommend to anyone for a moderate priced pro table.
I've had this table for about 3 months now and have been playing in the club with it. So far it is the best turntable I've played on. Every week I have to pack up and move my stuff from my studio to the club and everywhere else I am going to play, so it has been very durable in that aspect.
After a long break and coming from Technics, I’m blown away with the Audio Technica turntables. Build quality is top notch and the torque rivals my old 1210 mk2’s. I definitely recommend these turntables.
I have owned and used so many different types of turntables over the course of my career and I can definitely say these are the absolute best for the money. They have all the features you can ask for from a turntable and the build quality is top notch, I recommend keeping your technics at home safe...
Had to try this deck. I've tried all makes and models of every sort of turntable for scratching and mixing and I have to say this deck impressed me with its accuracy and its performance. The pitch is lock solid on any pitch %. The looks is as good as its durability and features. I am impressed.
