Primary use: oral history.Bought these mics to replace some Shure WL51s that have been giving me some problems, and these are much better at picking up sound at lower levels of gain on the recorder.
Above and beyond functioning just as advertised, this mic provides truly great sound to the PA. It's both rich and robust, allowing me to play my mandolin gentle and nuanced.
You don't need it until you need it...then you REALLY NEED IT. Don't look like a novice, just buy it.
Works well and the price is right.
Pros: Great sound quality for cost Basically plug and play (Need XLR cable) Compact/light Cons: No power indicator No battery indicator i would like to know the comparison in sounds quality to the Tascam DR-10L
Its a nice clip but the plastic portion that holds the mic breaks in half easily.I have 5 Audio Technica 831b lav mics and recently replaced 4 of the microphone clips. The actual clip part is metal and that never breaks but the part that holds the mic itself is plastic and that breaks easily.
maybe so inconsequential item, but this clip is easier to handle than other brands.
record pickup in hezzel camera
Well built and sturdy microphone stands up well to student use. Audio quality is great.
Exactly what I was looking for. A great lavalier microphone at a great price. The sound quality is excellent. The cable for the lav mic on pretty long and the unit can be run from phantom power so you don't even need a battery in some cases.
