For the price this is a great mic. We use them for audience mics in our church auditorium. We have them hanging about 20' above the audience. They feed our TV mix as well as the in-ears for our musicians on stage so they can have a little ambient noise in their mix. Clean, low hiss.
Sound Great for theatres on a budget. Exceptional quality for price. The pickup is more towards the sides than front. Be careful of comb filtering and phase cancelation. Placement is tricky. Less mics sometimes gives more gain. I placed them 2 ft directly over actors noses. Highly reccomend.
I purchased 3 of these for a cantata production. I hung them from the ceiling over the back row of tenors and basses. For the first time we could actually hear them! I was trying for a balanced choir sound and these helped a lot.
Excellent mic for the price range , we had 4 of them in our church for about 4 years now and just bought 4 more for our choir
working on getting a studio set up focusing on ease of use. These are cheap, but still deliver well on the sound. I'm using two in a classroom setting, one directed towards the professor, and the other towards the classroom for streaming classroom.
I put this up to to pick the room sound of a chuch congragation to mix with the direct board audio feed for their live streaming broadcast.
Great little mic to use on stage shows for general pick up ,nice sounding and small ,also comes with a nice wire bracket to angle the mics
Have used these before and are good for the job
Installed two of these to pick up and reinforce sound in a church sanctuary. They work great in the space. The two mics cover the entire downstage area and we no longer need lapel mics or mics on stands. Coverage is even from stage right to stage left...works for us.
I was tired of using speaker phones, or a mic on a webcam, for conference calls, and in a 1200 Sq Ft room I also got tired of the people at the other end not being able to hear very well. So I purchased an Audio-Technica AT-MX341A SmartMixer and three AUPRO45W hanging mics, and got a great sound!
