The AT2035 has good features for the price, sturdy construction and a fairly flat, clear sound. On the right vocalist it sounds great, but it will not suit all types of singers.

Bass response overpowering for some vocalists Not quite as versatile as some users claim

I bought this mic to record vocals for rap/hip-hop/alternative music in my home studio. With the proper recording environment and mixing techniques this mic can produce near-industry standard recordings.

Great sounding condenser microphone. I was very impressed with not only the overall sound of the unit but also the quality of materials used in the manufacture of the mic. When I get ready to buy some more microphones; I will seriously consider moving up to the next level of Audio Technia mic...

Overall I think it's a good microphone. I noticed however, whenever I sang lower notes (below E4 - E above middle C), it sounds boomy, and it gets even worse when I play the CD in my car (even when the High Pass Filter switch is on).

This microphone has a solid metal build that feels like it can take a beating, it's low noise, the omni- derectional response is great, I barely hear background noise(keep gain low) in very unideal rooms.

For the price I cannot believe the performance. Smooth response and - very important - low self-noise. The AT2035 compares favorably to other more expensive mics in our fleet (Heil PR40, Sennheiser 421) and outperforms others in its price range.

This was my first proper XLR Studio Condenser mic and I still love it!This mic is painfully underrated for a mic in it's price point, and is worth every penny more and than some compared to it's almost ubiquitous little sister the AT2020.

Been using this mic for a couple of weeks. So far, so good, it's my first mic and I only started learning about recording vocals, so I'm afraid I don't have much in the way of comparison, but I'm happy with the product.

So far the AT2035 is working as advertised. Used it for live recording as well as home studio. Crystal clear almost too much but an improvement on my old MXL that has been upgraded.I'm recording Banjo, Dobro which mic placement plus additional located mic is key to success.
