This won't isolate pole noise or handling noise as well as some of the MUCH more expensive models but, if you're mounting this thing in a stationary position, it will remove the sounds of people walking across the floor and other small shock waves.

My first shock mount, so I don't have anything to reference it to. Bought this to hold my new Sennheiser shotgun microphone. The elastic bands accommodate different diameter microphones and are detachable for people that prefer to leave the bands on the microphone instead of having to reinsert it...

Never got to use it as it snapped off my camera the moment I put it on. Very low quality product design. They must strengthen the flange on the bottom that connects to camera interface.

I bought this universal shock mount for a RODE NTG2. It fits very snug, almost too snug where it's somewhat of a pain to mount it and unmount it. For the most part it gets the job done, and prevents most if not all the small vibrations of the mic falling short only for massive jerks by an operator.

I bought this as part of a kit with a Senn MKE-600 shotgun for use in a small studio. I mount it on a boom and don't need to move it. The rubber bands grip so tightly that it's a challenge to slide the thing in or out. Two fingers on each side, wiggle and push.

13 April 2019

It was hard to get my senheisel mic onto it.

Will work fine at the end of a stationary boom pole, but will squeak in handheld applications.

7 September 2018

Defect on the bottom plate screws keep coming loose I tried putting Loctite on it. Now I'm missing it and can't connect it to my camera.I am really hoping that the fixedness besides that it works very well.

... for a student film lab I run. They work except for a tiny screw that holds it to the shoe mount, which is always coming loose and is too flimsy. Over time several of them have broken which renders the whole thing useless.

11 July 2018

The shock mount part of the device works great. The issue is that the screw that holds the body of the shock mount to the boom pole (or camera) mount has stripped out on all three mounts I purchased.
