A good product, well equipped. It's quite sensitive to connection noise. Shame it doesn't come with a good quality, well-fitting 3.5-2.5 angled adaptor to connect to cameras, because the ones I have been able to get are not good and I constantly have issues with noise from poor connection to the...
I shot my first commercial with this mike. It picked up well, in fact too well as every little noise was heard through it. So next time the set will have to be exceptionally quiet to minimize the extraneous sounds. Good mike for the price.
I tried the ATR6550 on three different cameras with three different results. On the good end of the spectrum, it seems to be a great mike for your GoPRO Hero 3 Black. Using their mini-USB adapter, the shotgun sounds really clean and crisp.
Excellent decision! This company works perfect for me. I recommend them, to everybody. And the mic works really good.
An affordable solution to improve the audio on my DSLR and GoPro. Well-built and so easy to use. I wish they added an auto shut down feature as I keep on forgetting to turn it off after use.
I bought this mic to make a video I needed to do out on the street and didn't want to use the camera's built-in mic. I used it with the Canon VIXIA HF R400 with good success. I was shooting in fairly busy streets with my presenter about 10 feet away.
I bought my Canon Rebel a couple of months ago and have been looking for the right mic ever since. I saw this one reviewed on @ but some people were saying that the sound improvement wasn't that great compared to the on-board mic. Well, I can attest that this microphone is THE ONE!
Works very well with DSLRs as well as smartphones with a simple adaptor. No, it's not like a Sennheieser but neither is the price.
Works very well for my needs, and the boost function is great, but needs a little cleaning up in post.
I film weddings and sports, thought this mic would be a good addition to the family. I bought my first one in 2014 used it at football games with tele feature it worked great. So in 2015 I bought a second one.
