I own many mics. I bought this omnidirectional one to record background audiencenoise and their commentsfor my videotaped clients who give presentations. Because it is phantom-powered, it is sensitive and has low signal-to-noise ratio. It is a terrific mic for the price!

I use this with my Tascam DR-07 portable digital recorder. It enhances the sound a lot and cuts out background noise. I use it mainly to record interviews and lectures.
