The Audio Technica ATH-ANC9 QuietPoint headphones deliver quality audio in passive and active modes, but noise-cancellation performance is not in line with the price.

Deep bass response, with no distortion at top volumes. Lightweight, comfortable construction. Outputs audio in passive mode. Removable cables—one with inline microphone and remote.

Slightly overpriced. Noise cancellation mics sometimes allow low transient sounds into in-ear mix. Doesn't ship with a rechargeable battery.
Audio-Technica proves, once again, that its expertise in professional audio lends itself well to excellent headphone design. The ANC9 are wonderfully comfortable, effective at squashing noise, most importantly, sound like a high-end headphone with or without noise cancelling engaged.

Excellent sound, with or without noise cancelling, Very comfortable, Stylish storage case packed with all the right accessories, Highly effective noise cancellation available in three levels

AAA battery life is short-lived, Slightly forward upper midrange when noise-cancelling not needed, Headphone cable smaller than we’d like, Single-button control
Some headphone manufacturers attract disproportionate attention for their new products with aggressive marketing and distinctive industrial designs, but Audio-Technica is not one of those companies.
Noise-cancelling headphones are very popular with frequent travelers and those who live or work in noisy environments. Audio-Technica's new ATH-ANC9 QuietPoint headphones supply you with three modes of operation that have impressed us to say the least. Now you can get on with grinding in peace.
Unzipping the hard case to check out Audio Technica’s new ATH-ANC9 QuietPoint headphones, you expect no less bang for buck performance and value from the Japanese audio company’s latest version of its excellent noise cancelling cans.
The ANC9s offer a wealth of options for users that will accommodate any location and soundscape. While the too-wide headband does look out of place, the overall audio quality is worth every cent.
I used this for the office, to work quietly and it performs great. The only sad part consumes battery power as crazy it last just 2 days on. just be aware to turn it off when you are not using it and done. :)
I have had these headphones for over a year and I like these headphones a lot. They work very well and are comfortable on long distance flights and make a huge difference. You would be amazed how much nicer it is in cattle class with these headphones!
