The Audio-Technica ATH-AD700s headphones surprise with their unusual appearance and performance. Outperforming most of the competitors in its price range these headphones are quite a treat to anyone looking for a set of $100 headphones.
So, in the final analysis, what did I think ofthe Audio-Technica ATH-AD700s? Well, as I’m writing this I’m using them tolisten to the DVD-A of the Eric Clapton and B.B. King’sRiding with the King[Reprise 9 47612-9].
If you prefer your music light and clear, without booming bass, the Audio Technica ATH-AD700s are definitely worth considering
Fantastic soundstage, Quality construction, Unique styling
With our recent wired and wireless headset reviews, we picked up a pair of ATH-AD700 Headphones to compare to at the urging of our readers. Today we give you a review of what is likely one of the best values in wired headphones in the world.
Head"Band" The headpiece is a pair of thinly padded pieces of molded plastic that rest on the head, attached to the cans' rotating mount via a spring-loaded piece of plastic. This is, from what i have seen, somewhat of a signature for Audio Technica, and it works well enough.
- Vast soundstage, Very clear sounding. Cable and headphone feel solid. Lightweight
- Some say the bass is lacking. Cable is long, and has strong cable memory.
lets see where to begin. certainly the most comfortable pair of headsets i have ever had. however that comes at a cost, as mentioned in cons it leaks sound. not just on the higher volumes either, if you can hear the sound, the people next to you can hear it also.
sound quality, comfort, good sturdy cord.
leaks sound like crazy, not a headset for public use.
With Over 88% of user headphone ratings scoring the ATH-AD700 positively (score of 4 or 5 based on a 5 point scale of 110 user headphone reviews) and not a single professional reviwer giving it less than a 8/10 (based on 5 reviews), you know these Audio Technica's are worth their weght in gold.
Yup, it's purple, and beige. It also has wings! Well those are for comfort; and homie, they are comfortable. When I received the Audio Technica AD700's, I chuckled a bit when I plugged it into my receiver for a movies/games test. I was thinking..
pros : 1. first of all sound quality is excellent as expected 2. wide sound stage, of course this is a open back headphone 3. comfortable fit even for long periods 4. attractive design 5. treble and vocals are excellent and it has crisp bass. 6. natural sound cons : 1. not good for gaming 2.
The sound quality right out of the box is absolutely incredible. I do have a small-ish head, and the headphones seems to be supported by my ears more than my head, but they are still comfortable to wear over extended periods.
My first pair of open back headphones. Audio Technica doesn't fail to surprise me. If you are new to open back headphones look no further. I heard some people complaining about lack of bass but it can be fixed by tweaking the eq settings.
I am in love with open back headphones because of these. 700x is my very first open back headphone. Beyond a shadow of a doubt, they are very good at what they are intended to do.
Very open and airy sound but fatiguing and harsh at times. They are also very loose on your head, I returned these and went for the Beyerdynamic DT 880 Premium 600Ω instead and I'm very happy with them.
Hi bought these cans after a research of almost 5 months. I was looking for a decent headphone with neutral sound signature and without bass boost. I believe that headphones should sound how the music is originally recorded and it is up to the listener to tweak the output as per his liking, to boost...
