I've done everything with this mic from record live bands to interviews.. and as long as this mic was running at any sort of proper level... it's good to go! funny, this mic was a lot less money a few years ago too... i guess it's reputation has increased its value..
Had to interview an exec in his office. We brought two cameras and two mics - a shotgun and AT899. Office had a hard floor with windows all around, so room was boomy and air from the duct work was LOUD. As a result, the shotgun audio unusable, even with Waves X-Noise.
I really want to get to the point where I'm using a Boom mic on a C Stand for interviews. I'd love eliminate microphones attached to talent. But, I have to say of some of the Lav mics I've used in the past, this is one of the most discrete mics on the market that still gives you great audio quality.
Purchased for use with GoPro Hero 5. With battery compartment too big and bulky. Mic was fine. Just the cords and adapters were too much for what I planned to use it for.
I use the product to do voice over for animations and as a secondary recording method for shooting narrative films on a set or in the field. Easy to put on the talent and despite being omni-directional just focuses on the voice, even when outside.
These mics work great and are durable I bought 2
I use this mic for video interviews and it is a great performer. It always sounds great.
Does a great job with a documentary type or TV talking head set ups.
I have already used this Lavalier a dozen times and I only got it a few weeks ago. It is not going to blow your mind with the sound right out of the recorder but with a little processing it does a great job and is moderately priced which is important for a free lance film maker like myself.
Easy to use, produces great quality audio!
