I got this mic used, over 7 years ago, and I have used it in hundreds of on camera interviews, It delivers clean sound, even in challenging situations. Other than having to change the batteries, and needing to buy a better windscreen, this mic has been a performer.

I had an EPK I was doing for a band, and when it came time for interviews I was loathe to use the shotgun mic I had, which had a really high signal to noise ratio, and very weak pickup. Someone offered for us to use this instead, and after I plugged it into my Tascam DR-60 II I was blown away.

I've used this in professional broadcast, live events and for location and studio recording of distant Foley. So far so good. Very good at rejection of unwanted sound without killing the natural tone of your source. Good frequency response with the high-mid bump where I feel it should be.

I bought this because my previous shotgun mic was causing too much hissing in my audio. This mic causes no hissing when paired with an audio recorder that has preamps with high enough quality to support it. Very happy with the quality of this product.

I love this mic. We do green screen interviews and on location interviews a lot and the range to quality this thing delivers is great. The price point for what you are getting just makes it hat much better.

In addition to handheld and boom mounted application for ENG and Video Productions, this camera performs well as an on-camera mounted microphone. With its narrow pick-up angle and when camera mounted, isolating and picking-up natural (nat) sound is as simple as pointing the camera to your subject or...

Is this perfect. No. Can the average person hear the difference between this a one costing 3 times as much. Nope. I shoot talking head videos and interviews both indoors and out. For me works better than a lav. Does exactly what I need.

I used this mic to record a live musical performance. I mounted it onto of my camera and recorded with a tascam 60 dr. The quality of the recording was astounding! The mkh 416 is only marginally better. Great mic for the money!
