We use this microphone on a 20' stand to capture the audio of our high school band's halftime performances. Works very well.
This mike is the best sounding mike in my oppinion for general ambiant recording and average home use. Pluss, you can also use it as a pro mike which is pretty cool. The quality of the sound is ausom. It's very clear, the stereo immage is very accurate. It's also nice and wide.

Ambience
I am a professional videographer. This microphone is proving to be an excellent solution for video recording choral concerts. I always setup my camcorder at the back of the auditorium and need to set microphones much closer to the singers and in front of the audience as much as possible.
used for large auditorium / vocal and jazz concert - crisp, clear, open sound with low noise
I have had this mic for over two years and have been very pleased with the results. I use it primarily for loud rock shows and it has not let me down. It captures a true sound--even at higher dBs--with nice stereo separation.
I use this micro with my Sony Z5. The internal microphone of my camera is not persuasive. With the AT8022 i habe the feeling as the sun rises. Bright, clear, three-dimensional. Only the Bass feeling ist a little bit reluctant. But a very good purchase for this price. Hardly to exceed
great sound pic up for focus group
in about 10 mph wind with windtech mm-26 there was lot of low freq, buffeting noise. otherwise, great sound and good kit of connectors/mounts
Great compact mic
Needed to capture sound from stage performances and it does gret. Used for recitals and weddings.
