With inexpensive mics seemingly as common as guitar picks, one must ask, “Does the world need another cheap mic?” But after testing the AT2020 , my answer is a resounding, “Yes!” Because the AT2020 is anything but “another cheap mic.” The AT2020 provides pleasant surprises in several areas.
This microphone is perfect for someone who records on the go or mainly from home. It works great in open spaces and does a good job of not picking up background noise when recording. I have used it for some small demo work in public places if I need to record a quick idea or even a voice over.
The AT2020 is Audio-Technica's entry-level, side-address studio condenser mic. It brings the company's build quality and consistency into the same street price range ($100) as many of the Shanghai-made Neumann U87 look-alikes.
Using this shock mount with an AT2020 microphone. Works perfectly, secure fit. The AT2020 includes a solid mount, which works well, however, for frequent use in a studio environment, you can't beat the shock mount.
It works, it fits my Audio Technica mic, it's good quality.
I got this to improve my audio for podcasting or participating in Google hangouts. I put it on a desktop boom stand, and it puts the mic right where I need it. The mic can go in right side up or upside down, it will grip it in either direction.
I use this in my home studio to hold the AT2020 mic, this is the universal shock mount for certain body types, the specific one is way too expensive. this is a decent price, but i would expect more metal than just the stand attachment, and a solid clamp system rather than lining up with grooves on...
Solid construction, good quality materials. Using if for an Audio-Technica AT2020 microphone and it works great.
I bought this shock mount to go with my Audio-Technica 2020USB microphone. It works great. I haven't had any problems with vibration transmissions using this shock mount. With the AT2020 mic, it was a perfect fit--couldn't have been easier. I can hang the mic or use it upright.
Ordered this for my AT2020USB+ works great!
Annoyed. My son bought this for himself and assumed it was ready to use (as you would) but it doesn't come with any cords. We live 1000 kms from the nearest city so to buy the cords will mean doing research and making phone calls etc to get the correct cord for it, which I haven't had time to do...
I bought this microphone a couple months ago and have been using it whenever I need to either talk online or to record things. It's an excellent microphone for the price and I would recommend this to anyone who wants to get a decent microphone, however it should be noted that you also need to get a...
Bought this microphone for some voice over work and works fantastic. Using the AT2020 with a Focusrite Solo interface gave me great results.Recommended to anyone looking a great budget microphone to use in their home studio, podcast or for voice over work.
