The Audeze EL-8 comes in a couple different variations. A titanium version with the ability to play 24-bit music via a digital connection made news a few months ago. But perhaps the most popular version would be the open-back EL-8 – a robust headphone sporting a price of $699.
The Audeze EL-8 headphones may not be the most practical for public use, but their fantastic audio performance trumps any design inconveniences.

Superb audio performance with solid balance, robust lows, and pristine highs. Comfortable design. Open-back earcups provide excellent spatial detail. Removable cable comes in four varieties.

Less practical for public use due to sound leakage. Expensive.
These headphones are exciting to put on. Music that I used to take for average, became great to listen too. Audeze EL-8 are a joy. I am hard of hearing, yet so many new high and low range sounds are present. I am very happy with this product and would recommendthem to anyone!
Great product, very open sound. Clear highs and the bass is not overdone. I have a pair of Oppos which are lighter and better for travel, but the sound of the Adele EL-8 is much more open. Buy the open backs over the closed back model.

Very open sound

A little cumbersome and heavy to use for travel
A big thanks to Armand, who has again sought to lend me a headphone for my honest opinion and, thus, supporting my YouTube channel and written review portfolio.

- Tonality in the lower midrange is quite good, easily driven, aesthetics.
-
-
- Veiled sound, too laid back, not engaging for many genres of music, low price-to-performance ratio
These rank third of eight on the order of my audiophile headphones. The two better ones are also planar magnetic and cost more than twice as much as these. Don't just take my word for it, these headphones have received excellent reviews on the web.

Excellent sound. Open and airy. Good sound stage. Good build quality. Very comfortable on the ears.

These phones will not stand out in a noisy room. The open-backs let noise in but they were never intended for travel. A quiet room will bring you close to the music
Audiophile headphones seem to fall into 2 categories .........Extreme detail, or, Warm and rich.If you want extreme detail, you buy the Shure HD-800s or HifiMan HE560 or H6, and if you want warm and rich you buy Audeze.

Lacking somewhat in treble<>detail<>articulation.
Great sound, improved after about 20 hours use. You get a feel of real spaciousness to everything--as if you are in the presence of the instruments/singers. Very accurate, uncolored sound. Not cold, not overly warm. Just the music. They ain't cheap, but they are very very good.

Great sound. Comfortable even though on the heavy sound. You will hear the difference if you listen. I doubt you will need better headphones unless you are made of money.
-
-
Not crazy about the wire connections--they fall out a little too easily. They ain't cheap.
Just purchased the headphones and love the comfort, sound and clarity. Two headphones come with them, one to allow you to talk on the phone and control volume, the ability to go back to the previous song and to forward. Never heard headphones as perfect as the Audeze.

Sound clarity of highs and lows and soft comfort. Headphones for a lifetime. Most headphones of this price and quality gives you option for listening not both listen and the ability to use for cell phone talk.
