The fourth generation of the gaming headset A50 from Logitech subsidiary Astro aims to impress with meaningful innovations. However, the manufacturer still offers two different versions – for Playstation or Xbox.

The Astro A50 Wireless 2017 are very good wireless gaming headphones. They sound well-balanced, have a good microphone that can separate your voice from ambient noise, and they're very comfortable to wear for numerous hours.

The Astro A50 Wireless offers the bells and whistles you'd expect of a premium gaming headset, but it flubs basics like mic and build quality. For $300, you should get something a little more durable.

The Astro Gaming A50 just doesn't tally up to a $300 (£300) gaming headset in my mind. When it comes to the best gaming headsets for PC, I recommend looking elsewhere.

The Astro Gaming A50 Wireless has some great features, but it's too flimsy and too expensive....

A couple weeks ago I reviewed the Skullcandy PLYR 2 Wireless Gaming Headset. As an entry-level device, it was pretty good. Getting into the wireless headset arena, cutting your cords with your computer, and experiencing good sound for $129 is not a bad deal.

For $299, the A50’s are one of the top-of-the-line headsets out there, and they don’t quite push too much beyond what the A40’s can do, outside of the hardcore “Astro” settings. So some of you might consider awaiting that upgrade till you have some extra cash.

The astros are strong build frame with an amazing options of changing it, why is not a 5 stars when using them they have a feature the doesn't work properly in the right side of the ear have the option of volume up and down game or voice and mine only controls volume up and down i tried many ways on...

I use both the Arctis 9X and the A50s and man the A50s are amazing! While the Steelseries using batteries is convienient for when I forget to charge my A50s, it will almost never happen as the battery has lasted over 11 hours! They didn't even die, I just got off because I was bored and tired.

All in all... the bad reviews I keep hearing about this headset are out the window for me. I'm glad I took a chance and bought these because hot d*mn are they fantastic. I love the sound quality and the comfort of them. They NEVER hurt your ears and optical SPDIF is the way to go with gaming sound.

  Before I start I will tell you that I recommend you buy this headset. The flaws are small but the pros are large! SO!.... Pros! -Nearly everything. -The audio quality of optical SPDIF is fantastic and this thing is everything it says it is. -The 7.1 Surround is fantastic. -They're noise canceling.

  There's only 2 things I don't like about this headset, 1 can be fixed, the other cannot. -The bigger of the two problems, and the one that can't be fixed, is the fact that you have a constant mic feed running through your headset.

This headset is great for FPS gameplay as the omnidirectional sound queues are par none especially when using Dolby. The only downfall this headset has is the lack of Bluetooth causing you to not be able to connect a phone for calls and notifications while being immersed in gameplay.

Not as clear sounding as the Turtle Beach 800x Elite. Sounds more like echoing than clear sounds. Not as loud either. Definitely would've bought the TB's again instead of the Astros.

I previously used a wired Corsair headset that worked fine. I only replaced it because it was 3 yrs old and falling apart at the earcups. After a few months of using this headset, I miss my old wired headset. It never gave me any problems and was light.

  Wireless - You can walk into the kitchen while still listening to music or talking to friends on the call Looks Good - Looks futuristic Good Sound - Audio sounds great Flip mic up to mute - convenient when you want to mute the mic and talk to someone in the room.

  No low battery indicator - The headset beeps when it has 5 min of battery left which leaves you scrambling for the cord if you're in the middle of a game. It does not have a battery indicator otherwise.

So these babies are fantastic. Setup was a little complicated but with some quick searching was able to get them pretty much perfect. You need to have the app on PC to fully use them and even then you gotta have it running. My only real complaint about them is they are twisted.

Easily the best headset I've ever owned great sound, very comfortable for long gaming sessions and great battery life
