Amazon’s Echo Show 10 is big on eye-contact. Now in its third-generation, the rotating smart display has the same screen as its predecessor, but mounted on a swiveling base that uses person-tracking to make sure it’s always facing you.
Quiet, efficient motorized base opens up more placement flexibility, Alexa keeps getting more capable, Decent room-filling speakers, Good privacy focus for camera and motion
Video and music integrations are still underwhelming, Motion may not be as useful as Amazon bills it, Expensive compared to other smart displays
The third-generation Amazon Echo Show 10 smart display delivers powerful audio and adds a motorized base that lets the screen and camera rotate as you move around.
Motorized screen automatically rotates to track you, Loud, crisp sound, Built-in Zigbee hub for smart home device control, Useful home security features
Motion tracking can occasionally feel awkward, Bass sometimes takes a back seat in the audio balance
“It's not often you get such an encompassing experience in one product, but the Amazon Echo Show 10 delivers.”
The third-generation Echo Show 10 has something for everyone.
The display follows you now, Display is surprisingly good for its resolution, Speaker is much improved, Easily block the camera with the privacy shutter
The motion of the display is mostly useless, It needs room to turn, so it can't fit in small spaces
Creepy? Yes. Useful? Sometimes.
Smart security features, Zigbee on board, Enhanced smart home controls, 13MP camera with shutter
Not a Full HD display, Video apps still missing, Motion can be creepy, Expensive
The Amazon Echo Show 10 combines an Alexa-based speaker and a unique rotating display....
Alexa now follows you around the room – and if that doesn't disturb you in any way, the Echo Show 10 is a very good smart device indeed Large, responsive touchscreen Added security camera functionality Ease of use Can be beaten for sound quality No YouTube ‘skill’ support
Amazon's new Echo Show 10 smart display is the full package with a screen, speaker, virtual assistant, and motion tracking.
The Amazon Echo Show 10 sets a new high bar for Echo devices, with a fantastic screen, intelligent motion controls, and an ever-improving Alexa on board. It comes with a few caveats, but this is clearly one of the most advanced smart displays on the market.
It follows you around, Alexa keeps getting better, Excellent sound quality
Very Amazon-centric, Design is a little awkward, Needs more video apps
Smart speakers are changing as Amazon's 2021 Echo Show finds a way to keep your eyes firmly trained on its display....
Neat design and concept, Screen can follow you around, Loud speaker, Great for people living in the Amazon ecosystem
Really, really dependent on the Amazon world, Video chat isn't super varied beyond other Amazon owners, the Alexa app, or Zoom (if you can get it working), Sound is heavy on the bass, Dimensionality can feel a little flat, Alexa Guard security system isn't available in Australia, limiting its...
The picture quality is excellent and the fact the screen rotates abs can be used as a remote camera that pans 180% in both directions (will not rotate 360% in one direction but camera will cover all 360% of view) note that you cannot remotely tilt the screen, that has to be done manually and the...
Love the idea but this isn't ready for prime time. I ignored some of the reviews that mentioned the lag/delay and other quirks but I really should have listened. The voice recognition is subpar compared to other Alexa devices, the screen sometimes goes rogue and moves on it's own when you don't want...
I thought I would really like the automatically rotating screen that follows the speaker around. Instead the screen aims in the right place about 70% of the time. 30% of the time it annoyingly rotates away, sometimes follows whoever is walking (not speaking), and there doesn't appear to be any way...
Nice. Screen is good rotations is ... ok and not consistent. I expect some of the voice commands to be as good or better than earlier (alexa)echo products . I dont expect to stop a program to change the volume by request. Welcome to being forced to do so. May be a small item, but very aggravating.
I love this thing. I use mine in the kitchen for recipes, music, and reminders so far. The follow feature works great! I haven't fully utilized all it's features only because I'm not really tech savvy, but I continue to look into new things and they send me information on what its capabilities are...
Basic! Not what I thought it would be. Can’t answer a simple question. Google is far superior than this.
The interface is Somewhat clumsy. To close the answer front door command I often find I frequently have to re enter the answer front door command in order to enter the close front door command.
Motion Unavailable most of the time. Asks to reset and nothing changes. Using without as can’t be bothers to re-box send back etc.
A lot of the time it doesn’t understand the questions we asked. The most famous quote you get is 'I don't know that. And it wouldn't go back to the screen we were on once there is new notification shown on screen. Same as using the youtube
