The Predator has speed on its side. Games look buttery smooth as they approach 200 frames per second, and it’s not hard to see why Acer thought a huge, high-refresh monitor would be a good idea.
-
+
High contrast ratio, Bright screen, Packed with gaming features, Up to 200Hz refresh rate
-
-
Low pixel density, Expensive, Stand offers very few adjustments
The Acer Predator Z35 is a massive 35-inch curved monitor designed for gaming. It features Nvidia's G-Sync anti-tearing technology and offers smooth gameplay, but its color accuracy and gray-scale performance could be better.
-
+
Nvidia G-Sync anti-tearing technology. Up to 200Hz refresh rate. Powerful speakers. Good gaming performance in our tests.
-
-
Expensive. Limited video inputs. Middling color and gray-scale performance in testing.
The perfect display has yet to cross our doorstep and the Z35 certainly has some flaws. But it presents a beautiful saturated image and will make your games look incredible if you pick the right set of options.
-
+
Super-wide immersive form factor • Stunning contrast and image depth • Saturated yet accurate color • Build quality • 200Hz • ULMB • G-Sync • Best ULMB implementation we’ve seen yet
-
-
Some motion artifacts at speeds over 144Hz • Expensive
Acer offers the Predator X34 as an absolute high-end gaming monitor with a size of 34” and a resolution of 3440 x 1440. Making it really stand out as a gaming monitor, though, is the 100 Hz refresh rate and G-Sync support.
-
+
Large diagonal screen with high curvature, G-Sync to 144 Hz as standard (more than OC), Good OSD with many options, USB hub
-
-
Low resolution, Stiff Keys
Acer Predator Z35P: The Z35P offers fantastic visuals and performance, but it’s simply too expensive
-
+
Excellent contrast ratio, Fantastic colour reproduction for a gaming monitor, Good build quality
-
-
Ridiculously expensive, Inverse ghosting on Extreme Overdrive settings, Chunky bezels
(Review system specs: i5-3570k @4.00GHz, NVidia GTX 770, 16GB RAM.) As you might have deduced from the Z35 reference in the Predator's name, this mammoth monitor spans an impressive 35 inches (or 89cm), making it one of the largest commercially available PC displays.
For these reasons, I have to admit, I didn’t come away from my encounter with this Predator completely unscathed, impressing enough to make it onto my shopping list. It does, however, boast a fearsome price of R23 000.

+
Beautiful screen, Rich features, Large, Curvature works well
-
-
Finicky controls, Falls short of offering 4K
There’s much to like about the Acer Predator Z35 Ultra Wide curved display . For starters the interface is the best we’ve seen from the company. They’ve absolutely gone to town with the settings, offering as many as they possibly can think of.

+
Comprehensive OSD., G-Sync up to 144Hz., G-Overclocks up to 144Hz.
-
-
Low native resolution., Picture quality notably one step behind IPS.

High contrast ratio and deep blacks from VA panel, NVIDIA G-sync and ULMB support along with low lag are great for gaming, Decent default setup
-
-
Some blurring and smearing a problem due to some slow response times, Refresh rates >120Hz not really practical, Viewing angles not great
I am really enjoying this monitor. Really nice to get a g-sync at this price. The picture is great, ultrawide gaming is very immersive. Dont think I can ever go back to a regular 16:9.
