The Asus VE278Q is an attractive looking monitor, although it fails to stand out in such a crowded market. The bundle is impressive, and the stand mechanism feels very strong, clearly built to last.

Good pricing., onboard speakers., DisplayPort connector., Good colour rendition., Strong gaming capabilities., Picture in Picture.

Panel inconsistencies and minor backlighting problems hamper the overall quality of the image., Not ideal for High Definition media playback.
I have owned the 23`` version of this board already and when selecting another monitor i wanted something a little larger so its bigger brother 27`` was a good choice seeing i had nothing but good experiences with the one previous

Would recommend for anyone looking for a good 1080P monitor. It's just a TN monitor, not IPS, so black colours or darker scenes in games like Tomb Raider or GTA V are slightly grey. Overall a very good purchase. EDIT: After 1 year of daily use, there are zero dead pixels on the display.

Good pixel density for being 1080P Nice colour replication and good contrast. Matte surface stops reflections.

Uneven backlight, top is darker than the bottom. Default settings were horrendous.
This is my second screen that I use alongside my Retina 5K iMac. My iMac has the AMD Radeon R9 M290X 2048 MB video. Great clarity, and since I use 1600x900 for work and surfing, it's magnificent and matches the Retina extremely well.
we got 2 monitors and a desktop in july Both monitors are Failing and ASUS REFUSES to help even when i bought the 2 yr warranty . the other Monitor is Totally Black Failed over 1 week . Any one know of a good monitor to buy ?
If you're looking for a gaming monitor with extremely low input lag, this is the monitor for you. There's a little light bleed when the screen is a black, however, it's not noticeable with normal use.
ONLY COMPLAINT I HAVE IS THAT I AM CONSTANTLY HAVEING TO RESET THE SCREEN TO VGA AFTER IT HAS NOT BEEN USED FOR A WHILE. NOT A BIG ISSUE BUT RATHER ANNOYING.
Good product, but the fact that in order to leave a simple feedback it made me write at least 100 characters of review! So annoying! Why would they make people write long review and take my time when i could tell in simple few words! And there is no option to skip this part of review
Ive had this monitor since October of 2012, just got a larger dead spot on the bottom center of the screen so I'm back to get it replaced. Great monitor otherwise but I took a point off quality because the dead spot came out of nowhere.
This is probably the largest monitor you can get that is 1920x1080.
