As a conclusion of tour test performed for this review we can say that while not the best monitor out there, the new Asus VE247H LCD monitor is still worth a buy.
After using for many months, this is worth the purchase. It stands up to everyday use and is good enough for light gaming. As long as you are not in MLG competitions this monitor will suffice.

-Has a mount which was one of the things i was looking for since i had a dual monitor setup and needed it to be VESA compatible., -Good specs for price

-Speakers aren't so good, only use if you don't really care about sound quality.
- I purchased 2 of these monitors which I use in my home office for a dual monitor display. One eventually failed. I contacted ASUS, described the problem and attempting to resolve the issue through their basic instruction, but finally they accepted that the product was defective and issued an RMA.

- The built in speakers provide only basic performance. Very quite. - Warranty services.
Use this as a desktop monitor for MacBook Air. Works great! Nice clean look and feel. Sound is only fair but easy to add speakers if you want Better sound.
I was looking for an affordable monitor that had solid quality. I did some research online that led me to purchase this Asus and I love it! Perfect for someone who isn't looking to spend a fortune, but wants a great monitor.
We have about 80 of these monitors now. I've been purchasing them for my company for the last 3 years, and we have yet to experience either a DOA unit or a failure. Every single one I've installed is still working, zero issues.
My Asus VE247 monitor arrived in excellent packaging. All accessories present. Cables for DVI, analog hook up and power as well as a speaker cable provided. Monitor has a HDMI port but no HDMI cable was provided. Plugged it in and fired it up. Beautiful! No bad pixels. I am running Vista 64-bit.

Still looking for one........
I purchased this product to replace a seven year old 14" LCD television that i use on my kitchen countertop. Not only does this up-size my screen size significantly, but it still--just barely--fits between the counter and the upper cabinets while on its standard tabletop pedestal.
great monitor had it a few days now and very glad of my purchase,
