This mic blows my Shure SM58 and my Sennheiser out of the water. Not even close. AKG for me brother. Sounds better and is much more attractive. I don't even use a wind screen with it. Final verdict, WOW. For the price, unbeatable at any price.
Own three of these and the vocalists love them. I think they are great mics at a great price point
I was making my video Voice overs on a Large Diaf, Condenser mic and had a lot of work dampening the places, .This mic has a very wide frequency capturing a full range of sounds but isolating the voice, Also warm , low handling Noise for interviews, Fantastic build.
I've run sound for over 20 years using many brands of microphones. This mic is crisper and cleaner than any other vocal mic I've ever used. Even non musical people can hear the difference. Musical Background: I've been involved in non-professional music for 50 years.
Great sound for a talking dj. Switch is firm and slides up and down with a click motion.
I have become convinced that the D5 is superior to the shure sm58 or any other mic in this price range. It cuts through the mix and has more clarity. I am speaking in terms of live performance in pop/rock style of music.
Great mic for singers! This mic captures tone with balance and detail through out the vocal range.
Great sound on vocals, if only that on/off switch was recessed like the SM58, this would be the perfect mic. It's a pain to turn on/off.
I use this for beatboxing and all around it is perfect.
Saw hundreds of reviews and was quiet excited to get this one. Tried it once and the sound was poor , with no power and needed to make a huge effort for the voice to be over the tracks.
