I was making my video Voice overs on a Large Diaf, Condenser mic and had a lot of work dampening the places, .This mic has a very wide frequency capturing a full range of sounds but isolating the voice, Also warm , low handling Noise for interviews, Fantastic build.
Whether in the closed confined space of a rehearsal room or on the stage, this microphone provides a high feedback counter-effect that prevents the high frequency noise generated when the sound from the PA system "feeds back" onto the microphone! Affordable, recommended!
I have become convinced that the D5 is superior to the shure sm58 or any other mic in this price range. It cuts through the mix and has more clarity. I am speaking in terms of live performance in pop/rock style of music.
Great sound on vocals, if only that on/off switch was recessed like the SM58, this would be the perfect mic. It's a pain to turn on/off.
I use this for beatboxing and all around it is perfect.
