These speakers are amazing. They are replacing some 25-year-old Paradigm Monitor 9s which have dual 8" woofers. I don't need more bass extension than what this speaker can provide, because the subwoofer handles that.

I had ELAC Debut bookshelf speakers and i wanted to replace with good tower speakers for my theater. I shortlisted few including B&W 7 series, Klipsch r8000 series. I read through good reviews for Polk reserve series. I got these on sale.
Other than awesome. The bass is a little weak, But I knew that from the specs. Fortunately, I have two subs. Polk builds a great speaker. It is driven by a Denon receiver. AVR-X6700. It is just a great sound platform.

Weak bass, sub woofer is a must.
Built on their legends series topological these speakers deliver performance at a more reasonable price. When coupled with a quality capable amp (not AVR or receiver) that will deliver enough power the entire line just sings! I replaced my entire system with the reserve line.
Smooth, balanced sound when used as a pair or in a Polk 5.1 configuration with a Denon 7.1 AVR.

Great sounding speaker for mid-sized room. After 30 hours of break in these speakers produced really nice soundstage, low end had punch, upper range very clean. Best speaker in its class. Glad I bought them!
I am extremely impressed with these speakers! I am very happy and pleased.

Very nice sounding speakers at this price point. Crisp highs and nice lows. Great value. Highly recommended.
I had the R500 for a couple of weeks before changing to the R600, so I feel I can compare the two fairly (for music). First, the R500 is fantastic and I was 1000% happy with the sound... thrilled actually, when run with a subwoofer.

Either way with the wonderful sound quality of the R500+sub or R600 without, you really can't go wrong with either for awesome sound at a reasonable price, in an attractive, heavy and seemingly very solidly-built cabinet
Exceeds my expectation in a relatively small floor standing package. When researching, I loved the specs and size of these speakers for my modest townhome living room, but was somewhat concerned not having an ability to first see and hear these in person before ordering.
