The Zeiss Touit 32mm f/1.8 didn't really convince us - at least on the NEX 7. The image center is sharp straight from the max. aperture and even stunning when stopping down. However, the borders aren't all that hot at large apertures although at least very decent beyond f/4.
The Zeiss Touit 32mm f/1.8 is capable of delivering the high quality results that we associate with this brand. The images are sharp straight from the max. aperture and the center quality is even stunning when stopping down.
The Zeiss 1.8/32 is an expensive but not necessarily very fast lens produced by a very renowned company. It is normal that, in such a case, the standards are set very high. Looking at the results of our test we can say that the lens not only failed to reach those standards but most likely didn’t...

solid and stylish casing,, excellent image quality in the frame centre,, moderate lateral chromatic aberration,, splendid astigmatism control,, fast and accurate autofocus.

too weak image quality on the edge of the frame near the maximum relative aperture,, huge coma,, very high vignetting,, noticeable spherical aberration,, too high longitudinal chromatic aberration.
This lens is a very capable lens when paired with my Fujifilm XT-1 in that:1. The color reproduction and contract is rich2. The subject is tack sharp even when wide open at F1.83.
Quality is not bad, but I prefer Fuji lenses IQ. Sold it after using for 2 months, got the Fujifilm 23mm instead.
I use these on a Fuji X camera and love them. I have been doing a lot of shooting at a ceramics factory where everything is painted by hand and so I have been using the 50 macro quite a bit. The workers work very fast and they do not stop and pose (can you believe it?
I use this as my standard lens the quality of build optics and pictures can not be faulted. I decided I wanted this lens as was lucky enough to get a used one from wex which = a good saving on new price. note re buying used from wex grading was even better than expected listed as 9- but like new.

I have a few Fuji lenses that are very good but having been impressed with Zeiss lenses on hasselblads etc I thought I would invest in this lens for my new xpro 2.<br />Just used it photographing some fine art instead of my usual Canon setup and very pleased with the results. So is my client!
