Zeiss Distagon T* 28mm f/2.0 Lens with ZF.2 Mount for Nikon F Mount SLRs

Outstanding! I prefer this lens over the Nikon 28mm f/2.8 AIS, which is also excellent. However, the Nikon is sharpest close, and loses sharpness at further distances. Therefore, for lanscapes, I prefer the Zeiss, which gives crisp detailed images.

Zeiss óptics, the best from years and years!. Zeiss for me make the best lenses for dslr's in world. The zf2 "collection" made in japan by the guys from cosina (voigtlander) have an old style quality and like all the good things from the past is is made to produce excelent photos for centurias.

This lens is, like all the lenses in Zeiss' ZE, ZF.2 &c line, of unparalleled build quality. The lens is incredibly sharp, with mesmerising contrast, and creamy/smooth out-of-focus areas. The colour has a slight warmth of tone compared to Canon's optics, but not to any detriment in the image.

I use this as a landscape lens and it works great, real smooth focus and it only allows you to change your F stop via the camera not from the lens which was a little different at first.

This is the second zeiss lens that I've bought for my Canon 5dmkII. The first one was 50mm 1.4 and since I was very satisfied decided to try this moderate wide angle lens and I surelly was not dissapointed.
